Hehe!! I’ll try to make this post gramaticaly correct for you RobAnt!
As with everthing money is going to be the driving factor which, as suggested by me and others in this thread would probably decide the scope of the project.
Eddie, if this was designed as an add-in that surely would cut the costs ?
I mean there are some outstanding freeware aircraft developers out there. Who funds them ?
Perhaps as most of the aircraft exist in various forms already, they could be tied into the game. Scenery, is also available for places like Duxford with static and AI warbirds in the pattern at http://www.fsfrance.com and many other airfileds on other sites.
I am not familiar with the ins and outs of the complexities of software programming. But i for one wish andrewman every sucess, and hope to see something along these lines.
Perhaps a well worded e-mail to Microsoft ahead of the development of Flight Simulator 2006 ?
Over to you RobAnt for proof read and correction if necessary. He he !!!!
and i forgot, i tried to part-ex tycoon 2 and the bloke wouldn’t take it, cant understand it myself!!
they are ok i suppose but the game play is a bit long winded and the first version was a real drain on graphics performance. The second one a bit better better graphics buti put it away after a few weeks, bored and not able to fly. You could watch flying ablongs come in to land though …………………
Others may of been impressed but i wasn’t
there is some bits worth nicking like the spitfires (parts?) at RAF stafford according to wrecks and relics there are five?
Or did it ?? I dont think so, i bought my copy for a tenner three months after it was released. Suggestions were asked for and mine offered.
Can the last member of the Royal Air Forces turn off the lights and put the key back through the door on the way out please ?
Madness ! absolute madness !
I haven’t seen a Scampton or Waddington download but on http://www.simviation.com there is a Brize Norton. On Fsfrance.com there is a duxford with warbirds in static and
at http://www.visualflight.co.uk/fairford a excellent scenery pack of RIAT
The posibilities with this kind of development are limitless and it sounds good but aircraft being unflyable is going to make it hard to sell surely ? apart from to the diehards that is.
Maybe pitching your idea as a add-on or tie-in with another simulator to a developer might be a idea especially if you are already started with the programming.
Imagine a online session at an airshow with multiple teams lined up to compete for ranking in a championship for the best aircraft skinpaint, displays etc….
dang ! another one gone ! glad to here the crew is ok thougth
And someone else has just told me that there is a very nasty rumour about online flights going to be payware by monthly subscription. That would definetly be the end of multiplayer for me
absoloutly agree. They need to make it sellable but sotware/ hardware is new today old tomorrow and the diversity of the market is expanding everyday its going to have to be a giant leap forward i think……
but as i said speculation and i’m gunna keep telling my wife a major upgrade is necessary so just don’t talk about that anymore in case she reads over my shoulder !!
My fault to vague in my description, no it definatly was a spit curved wing tip shape.
I said i was not to good at at recognition not plain blind i can definatly tell difference between a “spitfire” “Mustang” or “170 ”
thanks anyway……………….
