    Hello Chris,
    Thanks for the info, apologies for the delay, I have been off line for 48 hours, due to a phone line (BT) fault which up here in the Highlands takes some little time to correct.
    I had not checked the CWWG site but I have now, see my other reply, I will now be plesed to put the correct info. into the domain of the Battle of Britain web site.

    Thank you Paul McMillan & Lauriebe, the family “myth” mentioned was that Alan Dredge was killed in a Meteor performing a barrel roll at a low height, but I had never seen any written confirmation until just recently when: on the Battle of Britain Association web site it stated that he was killed in a Mosquito!! Hence my query, you have restored my faith in the Family Myth.
