Here is some “avian” news for Mr. Hamburger to enjoy.Shanghai residents flock to foreign fast-food outlets
SHANGHAI – The bird flu crisis may be depressing sales of poultry dishes at restaurants in China but fast-food chains are weathering the storm. This is because products served at international franchise outlets are perceived as safe for eating.

Despite the discovery late last week of suspected bird flu in the financial capital of Shanghai, customers continued to throng Kentucky Fried Chicken and McDonald’s outlets yesterday.
‘I know the chicken supplied to KFC and McDonald’s is safe, so it doesn’t matter… I’m not afraid to have chicken at all,’ said Mr Gu Keda, munching on chicken burgers with his wife and two-year-old daughter.
Industry experts say the perception of quality and consistency of products served at these chains reassures customers the food is safe and therefore sets them apart from local rivals.
Mr Fang Liqing, a KFC public relations manager in Shanghai, said the US-based company did not buy from small farms such as those found in Nanhui district, where bird flu is suspected to have broken out.
‘Our chicken suppliers are the biggest and best in the country…we would never use their (Nanhui farmers’) chicken,’ he said.
While he insisted the outbreak of bird flu had so far had no impact on the city’s 115 franchise businesses, that was not the case at Xiao Shaoxing, a specialty chicken-dish restaurant popular with locals.
One of Xiao Shaoxing’s 100 outlets, which were usually packed, was devoid of customers on Monday.
Sales have plummeted by half since confirmed or suspected avian influenza swept through 10 regions and provinces in China.
‘After reading newspapers, people are very panicky. They have stopped eating chicken for the time being,’ said manager Chen Wenyao. — AFP
Wow the line must be astronomical! Heck, even when I went to Beijing last year to inspect the McDonalds in Chaoyang district (in the far east of Beijing), and in Wangfujing..the line was already long!
well the chinese have great taste in burgers and we’re willing to feed them 😀 😀

it’s always been a dream to one day visit the McDonalds in Shanghai
That F-16 is just attrocious looking, horrible horrible horrible..
doesn’t even deserve the name F-16 Hotdog (that should go to the J-10).
the F-4 is okay.. like an old Turkey..
you want a beautiful Jet.. then you get a beautiful jet in the form of a below

Well, out of the combo Lithuania/Estonia/Latvia the Lithuanians are CLEARLY the best! The other two hardly possess something called Air Force.. 😉BTW, Lithuanian L-39s are the only jet-powered aircraft in the whole region
That’s right! I’m glad some one here agrees how lethal Lithuania is, very lethal indeed. I don’t think the entire armed forces of Mauritania can stand up to Lithuania’s might.
but since they insist being in NATO..i do think they need more fixed wing aircraft.

Can’t remember were I got this from (Hope I am not violating any copyrights).
it certainly seems that the M2K can carry more.in both roles at least. The operation costs of these two aircraft are also lower than the F-16.

. My apologies for the use of Japan as reference here.
It was only as an example to show how inappropriate uses of or the assigning
of names can and does reflect on the gesture or biases behind it.
Exactly, which is why the J-10 should be called J-10 French Fry as French Fries do not convey any meaning of hate.
the J-10 should be called the French Fry

it starts with an F, perfect designation for it.. also if the Americans are sensitive to French Fry it can be called Freedom Fry..
since the J-10 is comparable to the F-18..makes sense to compare the French Fry to the Hamburger.. not to mention that the J-10 is long and slender like a fry.

That is a bit closer than the suggestion of across the pond…
But I Love Anna more than you love apple pie. Or a burger. Or the F18.;)
Much more.Flood.
At least you can eat an apple pie, a burger and a superbug, but can you eat an Anna?

The Mi-38 was already discussed in this thread:http://forum.keypublishing.co.uk/showthread.php?s=&threadid=20179
Looks like the child of a NH-90 and a Mi-17, perhaps it’s capability is somewhere inbetween too
and I want you BOTH
to try a new apple pie at your local McDonalds in Edinborough.

I think this is a good topic worth resurrecting..
how bout we compare the A2G capabilities of these two aircraft..
the Gripen at most can probably carry 3 large PGMs or other guided munitions and probably two air to air missles and two fuel tanks..
the M2Km52/-9 or whatever it’s called.. seems to be able to carry 3 or even 4.. but also having more room for self defense missles.. also ELP has mentioned that the French are also in a more advance stage of cheap guided munitions for use too.
ACIG mentions that although the MICA has slightly lesser range than the AMRAAM, it has a higher off boresight abilities and as a result, engage a wider range of aircraft.

HOLY ****!!!Alright, confess, which mercenary airforce do you run?
I’ll answer that one..
SOC is my top officer in Burgeria’s Department of Air Force Materiel Command.
His real name is Scott, we picked him up from Lithuania.
here he is

quite a handsome Lithuanian he is.
what airplanes have been cleared for Mica?
i’m assuming most if not all of the Mirage 2000 variants, Rafale, and possibly the later Mirage F1s?
Supposedly Gripen is also able to carry it.
