I think you should look through this forum. every thing is present from pictures to measurements.

you can’t find it can you, perhaps you should learn the lesson of pulling numbers out of your arse. 😉

of course no one is stopping you from eating it like you normally do 😀

Indians claim that there MKI carries the same EW suite like F-16I and FC-1 is not smaller than F-16. It has bigger nose and square back. so your argument of carrying bigger EW equipment carries no weight. And it is argument of 3 FC-1 versus 1 Su-35. So chance of running out of missile is not there.

neither do your comparisons with lack of proof chump. Prove that the FC-1 is the same size as the F-16, or more importantly, has the same room for EW as the F-16

Crobato I was talking about a BVR fight, when a Su-35 would lock on to a FC-1 then get into it’s radar range to fire the R-77, the FC-1 would lock on too….

So what would be the outcome of this, who would win?

I don’t know what the FC-1 has but remember, the bigger aicraft has more room to carry more EW countermeasures (whether Israeli like on the MKI or Russian/Chinese on the MKK), and if either one survives, guess which one will run out of his missile first 😉

The bigger airplane also has more fuel and can dictate the engagement from the start and could simply bingo fuel his opponent, making his smaller opponent run back to the base to get more fuel, which makes it more vulnerable, you can see this in Eritrea vs Ethiopia.

Do you even know that maintaining 10 Su-30 cost India $300M in 3 years and Su-30K does not even have TVC or BARS. And without AWACS any legacy fighter whether large or small will be handicapped against vastly inferior opponent that it will be turkey shot.

Uh oh, here comes Yahoo with numbers that are being pulled out of his ass.. 🙂 $300m in 3 years? Su-30s costing 60-80 million for the whole system? reeks of doo doo if you ask me, kind of like the user himself. Now if you really want, I can show you what I pull out of my ass 😉

I am really starting to question heavier fighters. I am starting to see hordes of smaller and inexpensive BVR ARH fighters(like FC-1/A-50 with AIM-120, etc) as a better option than a few high tech expensive fighters(like Su-35/F-15K, etc). For a single F-15K which costs some 80-100mn, I can get probably 3-4 A-50s armed with AIM-120(lets say they cost 25-30mn), and same can be said that for one Su-35 which should cost some 40mn, I could probably get 2-2.5 FC-1s(lets say it costs 15-20mn).

Who would win in the BVR arena?

When other factors are concerned, the heavier fighters should be able to deliver ordinance at a much longer distance, less pilots would be required, a single F-15K would probably be cheaper to maintain than 3-4 A/F-50s though those A-50s would be able to deliver much more ordinance than a single F-15K. Those heavier fighters might also enjoy carrying much larger weapons too.

Srbin, my Montenegran friend.. I think about this all the time. I think it should be where the fighting is going to be. Obviously the smaller LWF’s won’t have the range and carrying ability to do long reach missions. But if it’s defensive, I like the idea of large hordes of LWF fighters. I mean think about it.. you can get 3-4 LWFs for one large fighter.. and if that new F-7MF crap is only 7 million and has bvr ability, you can get like 12 of those for one Typhoon! 😮

    Ok so

1)Su-34’s range is a little longer
2)The Tandem seating+bed & toilet helps on much longer missions

And here we have a “tandem seating” car

I can see how it’s seating arrangement is very similar to the Su-34’s

Can the Tornado IDS be compared to the JH-7? The JH-7 seems much more optimized for maritime strike while the IDS is an interdictor

but check out this German navy Tornado.
