The EU largely, and NATO decided to step into a soverign countries internal affairs because they decided that government was being unfair to a majority that didn’t hold power.

Is that the real game?

Take these baltic countries in and then decide they are not being fair and kick out their governments for oppressing the poor Russian minority… we could replace them with a British government, a German government and a French government…

Not likely as the locals wouldn’t accept it and the local Russians sure wouldn’t like that either.

Perhaps it was as I thought all along… that Kosovo was all about getting Slobodan and that what the Serbs did the EU and NATO couldn’t care less about. This is evidenced by inaction over Rwanda and Chechnia and plenty of other places.

I have to agree with wolfburger here… it’s a hard thing to do to keep a large population from continuing to slow down it’s growth.. slow down of population growth doesn’t happen until the country is very well developed and has a high standard of living.. China has not reached that yet.. only in certain cities.

besides.. the wolfmeister brought a good point… more people = more land..and we know how much land China in the past has continually claimed 😀
