my sexy friend..that is if the country already has those 4th generation fighters to upgrade.. there is plenty of countries that are still using 2nd and 3rd generation fighters as their main force.. mainly F-4, F-5, MiG-21 and Mirage F.1.

the JSF..i expect it to be around the 201X area.

even then, the Germans will threaten with some price cuts, followed by the brits 😀

seroiusly though..if an air force is seeking to obtain the JSF, PAK-FA, MFI, etc some time in the future..makes sense to go for the cheaper-multi role 4th generation fighter in the mean time that already can do the job, rather than a compromise fighter that’s somewhere between 4th and 5th..being and obsolete compared to the latter and too expensive, and not that much of a difference to the former (not to mention that they’ll still take some time to fuly develop and mass produce)

35 million sounds about right..

the Ruble is weaker than the dollar and euro, is why it’s so cheapo.

why buy the Eurofighter or Rafale when you can get a newer model MiG-29 or some upgraded F-16s, that is much cheaper, to serve the role until a real 5th generation fighter is available for export.

does that 1.5 billion deal include weapons, spares, etc btw? that leaves it 30 mil per aircraft

Don’t give it up Vympel…

as you can see, not only..but also Arthur, Flex297 and SSgpzr all disagree with Golden Dorogn, and they’re all from various countries..so the factor of nationalism is less so, and it’s more on fact. Notice how she focuses more on personal attacks and assumptions instead of facts.
