Although I think the F-15, Typhoon and Rafale are overkill for an A-4 replacement.. perhaps they should use their F-16s for that role, and instead, have a competition for a new air superiority fighter

Gripens, i believe that they have already been tested with the meteor and maybe be a likely platform for the Storm Shadow 🙂 two missiles India could do with having.

Meteor doesn’t exist yet and will be tested on the Gripen first, in the future

at what altitudes do we expect their replacement should operate for ground attack?

if it’s low and “dirty”, then the MiG-29 is the perfect choice for a role where there’s a higher chance of getting shot down, and being cheaper to replace on a unit basis.
