There were several Harriers at Laarbruch (as there were some five in the early 90s at Brüggen) but nothing is left at the former RAFG bases. Most of the aircraft were scrapped there, some were brought back to the UK.

The AV-8A fleet was largely cannibalised to keep the gap-filling AV-8C (upgraded AV-8A’s used while waiting for AV-8B’s) flying, and i seriously doubt if a lot of spares can still be scavaged from whatever early Harriers there are left in the UK.

Why not think first? When a ballistic missile is fired against an target (airbase), what kind of warhead is to exspect for a military commander, when it shows up on an EW-satellite? Ballastic missiles still have a CEP, which makes that useless against a limited target with an ordinary warhead. To hit a single HAS with it, you have to fire dozens of that and may still miss. And free by this to be attacked by similar much more effective US -weapons. 😡

Well, last time i checked there were no HAS’es at Langley. Just go pre-emptive, after all those Weapons of Air Dominance might eventually be used against you :diablo:

Greece still operates Phantoms too.

And don’t forget Albania’s MiG-15UTIs, and Chinese-built MiG-17s and -19s (J-5 and J-6 respectively). I don’t think their J-7s are still flying, but then again the Czechs, Romanians and Bulgarians do continue to fly those.

Actually, not all wet-feet-Frogfeet are Su-25UTG. There originally were only ten built, which were split up evenly between the Ukraine and Russia during the breakup of the Soviet Union. As the Russians had lost two in the first few years, they needed replenishment. These new aircraft were appearantly rebuild Su-25UBs and should be designated Su-25UBP. I’m not entirely sure if the wing was part of the modification either, but if it wasn’t you should be able to tell the difference between an UBP and an UTG by the leading edge: a dogtooth for the UBP, a double kink on the UTG.

This one won’t be a tanker but a pure transport, so not a KDC-10 but a DC-10. It will be used to bring hagelslag, drop and the ingredients for wentelteefjes to all the Dutch troops abroad for the invaluable contributions to the New World Order and The War Against Terrorism.
