Well, i have to say i was relieved to hear that Bush won by both the popular and EC votes. While being strongly anti-Bush myself, i’m actually happy that he now has a clear and undisputable mandate.

Although i have my own thoughts about US internal politics, i don’t think they are worth much from a European like me. And while i’m a strong opponent of Bush’ display of foreign politics, i do think the bulk of the annoyance with me is the attitude with which that foreign politics are pursued, and less so the actual politics themselves. Let’s face it: Clinton’s adventure over Kosovo in 1999 was also a terribly misguided act of US military expeditionism, it was just sold (abroad) sooooo much better than that Iraq thing.

The windtunnel there is definately big enough, so you could be right. Unfortunately i don’t know if that mock-up had actual control surfaces for some sort of tethered in-tunnel flight, but that would definately be interesting.

I really should be visiting Gatow just to get a look at the Lampyridae. It’s unfortunately still in the museum storage and not yet open to public viewing, but arrangements can be made…
