It’s not that the people from DG are the only ones who got ethnically cleansed for Vaiar’s “greater good”. GD already mentioned Bikini, there’s the people of Mururoa, there’s the inuit tribes who lived in the area of Project Mercury on Greenland…
The Israeli 747 freighter crashed in Amsterdam and killed many people by that.
Ah, no wonder the Israelis were closing their airspace. They know of El Al’s inventive way of using airliners against high-rise buildings :dev2:
I think Sens has hit a nice one with his comment that the reason for the diversion was more a political one than an actual one. Looking at some of the replies here, there is quite a bit of appeal to terrorism-paranoia even if the ‘threat’ in question is nothing more than a bomb threat. A far cry from the hijackings which were to mark the beginning of the 9/11 attacks.
I do hope next time a hijacked/bomb-reported plane is inbound for Cyprus, they divert it to Israel though. Stupid act of paranoia, it’ll make dozens of people wait in vain for their loved ones and ruin quite a few business meetings.
No problem Sauron.
Yeah, it’s always better to have someone else do that. I think.
Is that’s Punxatawny Phil, Burger?
Absolutely disgraceful. The strange thing is that Diego Garcia is appearantly on a permanent lease to the US (a bit like Gitmo is) for an unknown amount of money, but someone forgot to think of including at least an excessive amount of overcompensation for the original inhabitants.
Reinstate it! Or you’re just a biased moderator, i knew you were all along, i will write a letter to Alan Warnes saying him what biased moderetarders he has, rant, rant, rant…
That’s some pretty thought. The photographer’s dead, what he saw lives on.
I think the reputation option was added as some sort of anonymous replacement for the rating system there used to be when this board was still ‘purple’, but which eventually was removed because of bickering
Did the person who made that post actually tell who he was Sauron? The stupid thing was that if Google, Harry or me (the three mods at ModMil) actually would be so offended by your post (which i doubt for the other two, and i know i wasn’t) it would have been easier to do some moderating rather than leave such a poorly written remark.
It wasn’t me who left that message, and both Google and Harry are far less involved in Cold War issues as i am. Could it be that someone is pulling your leg?
On a 707 its huge.. lets see how it looks on those 1l-76’s.. I think Awacs should be on a large passenger plane…
Having been inside a number of NAEWF E-3A’s and the A50 prototype, i can honestly tell there is not much difference in operating space or room for workstations. In fact, the wider body of the A50 seemed to give a little more room (although the aircraft by then was actually stripped of it’s workstations).
Stay on topic guys.
Well whadda ya know… a whole new list of deleted and moderated messages to the credit of the usual suspects. Thread locked.
Srbin, ASCC designators are still being given, but they only emerge ever so rarely. TJ is nowadays one of the precious leaks us amateurs have…
Boooooring… couldn’t they have given the somewhat less boring two-tone grey as on the F-50s and C-130H-30s? That would at least have looked different. This one just looks… yawn.
