Sure, go ahead. And yes, love an Orval! It’s good i’m a friendly drunk, but those bottles seem so much fun for clobbering…
The tail with “96-349/EK” is 69-6349/EK, an A-37B. It’s funny though: Chris Hobson’s “Vietnam Air Losses” lists this one as crashing accidentally in Thailand, rather than in Vietnam itself. It could be a repaint for 348 though, as this one was shot down over Vietnam proper.
The tail section with the TAC badge is of an F-105, the bit on the left of the A-37’s tail (with AF67-0…marked on it) an F-111A, and the big black wing is a B-52D’s horizontal tail.
There are quite a few pictures of Vietnamese proudly posing next to US wreckage from the war, quite a few of them are in Istvan Toperczer’s books on the Vietnam airwar.
Is there any room on the grill yet? I think it’s about time to put the saucisses merguez on i brought. For those who aren’t in to these delicious self-saucing garlicky sausages, there is some fresh trout in this one bucket. The other one has a load of beers – a few half litres of Parkbräu Export, and a whole lot of Velkopopovicke Kozels and Budvars.
Robbo, i’m sure you don’t mind if i snatch one of your Boddington’s first?

I am good at dancing when i’m drunk, and dragged off to the dance floor by a Russian girl/woman… next time that happens, i’ll be trying some programming too. It should work.
Can we stop feeding the trolls please? I’m curious why anyone takes Butty Bishop serious in any sort of way.

So Viz didn’t exist back then yet? I would have liked the Blackburn Buster Gonad, or the Fairey Fat Slag.
I’m part of the SR-71-missers, unless a reeeeaaaally small silhouette of a Blackbird flying veeeeeeery high on it’s way back to Mildenhall counts, somewhere in the late 1980s counts.
And i’ll always wonder if that Tu-22M3 they started up at Solcy when i was there in 1996 were to have flown…
Burn’em! Burn! Buuuuurn!
Burn’em! Burn! Buuuuurn!
…yes, before you know he’ll be singing that Elton John-monster about that black beret… bwhuuuu!
Although i wouldn’t mind hearing Snapper’s version of Stop the Cavalry 🙂 I will gladly provide the dubadubadumdum chorus.

Well, it’s a good idea. First make sure the kids get fat, and then start making clothes for lardassed kiddies.
It’s a conspiracy, ya know!

The ditch is way closer to the RIGHT… unless you’re British of course.
But i think USAgent did his views and country a favour by just shutting up. I think his perfect presentation of a loudmouthed, ill-informed, arrogant and generally obnoxious American have given him a perfect job in an Al Qaida trainingscamp, course Know Your Enemy 101 :p
