Sorry for being so picky Ken, but under the ‘Su-17’-caption on your index (and gallery), you have a whole bunch of Su-20s, whereas under the ‘Su-22’ caption there are a whole bunch of Su-17s you have labelled as Su-22.

Want me to do a full variant update?

    Niels,
So i reckon you settle with caption making in stead of photography as well? Then join the club! Photographers like Franck are indeed discouraging… making such an excellent shot in such crappy weather?

Franck, you have sold your soul to the devil just to become a really, really good aviation photographer, right? Just admit it. I know quite a few planesnappers and plaatmiepen, some of which with some fame, but your work is absolutely amazing. Bah! 😉

Hubbard Ray Wylie looks beyond androgynous! In fact, he makes me a little poetic!

If more men looked like Hubbard Ray,
It won’t surprise me i turn out gay!

Well, at least Hubbard Ray Wylie is whom i traced the lyrics to. At http://www.cowboylyrics.com of course. And i would assume the photo after the lyrics has something to do with the song…

I’m really pleased with the two of you having found true love and all, but i do think that buttering and/or creaming up Anna’s undoubtedly lovely _rse is best left unspoken in these quarters 🙂

It doesn’t matter much. The NOTAR-tail combines exhaust gasses and aerodynamics to compensate for the main rotor’s torque, in stead of the normal tail rotor. If the tailboom of a NOTAR is hit, chances are high that the whole NOTAR-system is disturbed just as bad, as would have happened if it was a conventional helicopter.

It would be a fun experiment though.

    GD,
Flex posted the pic of the nuclear Q-5, and i posted the date of the throw above already. The bomb was not dropped from a pylon, but lobbed out of the recess Flex’ picture above shows. The recess is on the rear half of the room where (with normal first-generation Q-5s) the bombbay is.

    PII,
When new, the Cobra was a pretty nice machine to work on, but the readiness of the AH-1F’s in their final years in the ArNG was appauling. Units with 18 Cobras assigned to them rarely had more than five flyable at any given time. It’s not that they are maintenance intensitive by themselves, it’s just that the airframes were more than beat from heavy use (Gulf War) and age (a lot of the AH-1F’s were actually rebuilt AH-1G’s built in the 1960s). Unless the Pakistani Cobras recieve a MAJOR (and expensive) overhaul, they won’t be of much use at all.

Here is another nice pic, showing the Q-5 prototype.

But if SD-10 should not respond to anyone Indian, there will be nobody left for him! After all, India is in the eye of the beholder.

That must be the most bizarre animated-GIF-signature ever used. Brilliant!

Especially if you note she swallows the bottle with the blunt end first. Pooping will hurt though.

Well, for all we Europeans know, Emmylou Harris is just one of those 1970s David Bowie-incarnations. Like Ziggy Sawdust 😀

    Motivating yourself, without a doubt.
