Back in the good old days, the Russians in East Germany held such events pretty often. “Kick the Mig” they were called, usually between a MiG-29 and a drag racing car/bike (both happened) at bases as Templin-Gross Dölln, Finow-Eberswalde, Grossenhain and a few others as well.

A squadron of Spang F-16s moving East would make sense. Especially now it seems they are getting serious about finally closing Rhein-Main now (i believe the USAF is paying through the nose for the ramp and hangar lease there, but not half as much as Frankfurt AP could be making out of it), and moving all transports to Ramstein (construction there is making good progress, including changing the heading of the runway) with Spang as the proposed future tanker-deployment base.
