Is banter not one of the tolerance levels you allow?
See that winky smiley thing? This thread is a serious discussion, one which (One assumes) none of us can have any influence on the actual subject matter whatsoever.
If you can’t change something, change your attitude towards it… is my motto.
To get the Churches / Mosques into my way of thinking, they would all be closed and then razed. So, decisions such as is being suggested by some idiot church leader, the nation spirals into nothingness, we will all do nothing. We cannot do anything.
So, now I’m long in the tooth, feck it…they can do whatever they like….until it affects my actual and real lifestyle. The discussion and the decisions made affect my dismay with this country, but it does not cross my path.
I am training the lad to live abroad away from UK. British born is no longer a thing of pride. These idiots do not cross my path because: –
There are no mosques where I live.
There are no churches bigger than a 100 seater where I live. And it’s mainly empty.
Nobody does protest marches where I live.
Murder rate is almost nil.
Crime is the lowest in UK.I chose this place to avoid all the problems, so in my way I did affect the outcome. Seclusion!
The fatigue thing was an opportunity for continuation of the banter, which you could have reciprocated, but chose to actually insult.
There was nothing insulting about my post, however yours was blatantly offensive.

Has anyone just seen the BBC news showing the whale pics they where just sick see here I dont really know what to say about the pics the 1st one is of a mum and calf 😡 http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/asia-pacific/7232239.stm As said before give greenpeace a redundant Type 42 and I be happy to fire the gun at the whale ship even if means for me to go jail as long I know I have completed the Misson I be very happy
Sorry buts thats just wrong aswel. Who ever gave Humans the right to kill wildlife in the first place 😡
Makes me Angry and sad that we treat animals like this
James 😡
That would be nature, and it turns out that humans are omnivores. Prior to our invention of agriculture killing wildlife was our means of satisfying that reality. Indeed hunting provides for far better welfare standards than most agricultural systems do.
If you enjoy fish and chips then you are exactly the same as the Japanese.

The paradox is indeed that we wish some of the ways of the Mid East were adopted here. Flogging for one. We quickly jump on the manhunt and kill bandwaggon when a serial killer is loose don’t we?
I’ve been to Saudi, people in my old firm live there. They get by on illegal home brew and parties with the nurses from the US hospital but it is generally not a country I would choose to live in.
Hypocracy exists too, as soon as the Dunlops leave the Runway, the Arabs are no longer on Holy ground……the amount of beer can fizzes is quite deafening!I consider myself quite average, and these views are shared by most people I know……Child molesters should be made to walk around with their recently hacked off but now rotting testicles sewn on their bottom lip.
Convicted rapists should be sterilised….however, with a lot of women shouting rape (Particularly if the male is famous) this is a very dodgy area. THIS DOES NOT SUGGEST THAT SOME WOMEN HAVE NOT BEEN RAPED.
Child murderers should be killed on live TV, with a telephone poll to decide on the method of death. Phone profits to victims family. (Actually, I don’t think we are that far off this)! And if anybody harmed my wife and son, the same pain would be inflicted upon them, even if it meant killing them. Classic eye-for-eye stuff…..but it would be my decision to break the law and go to jail.
There is a wonderful film called “The Star Chamber” with wotsisname…Kirk Douglas’s son. Anyway, the star chamber is a ring of Police/judges which decide to “Off” the baddies that get away from court on technicalities.
Very good film, dealing with the revenge aspect of our society, one day, they picked the wrong chap……
You harbor some very worrying ideas.

No fundamentalist Christian States in existence.
No, but there were. And those Christian Fundamentalist States that existed in the Middle Ages (Crusades and Spanish inquisition) are the very states on which our current society was founded.
Let’s take America, or equally Australia and New Zealand. Predominantly Christian colonisation gave no thought to the rights or Religious beliefs of the indigenous population. Same happened in South America under the Spanish, in Africa under the Belgians and the East Indies under the Dutch. As for we British, well, we were equal opportunity colonists long before the phrase came into existence – we’d colonise anywhere that there was anything worth taking. All under the guise of spreading the word of God and showing the populations of these Countries a ‘better’ way to live. Of course, we in the developed world wouldn’t think of doing anything like that today, unless there happens to be oil. We consider ourselves to have developed, to be above such actions. And generally speaking we are far more moderate. We congratulate ourselves on having evolved.
Perhaps today Islam, as a generalisation, is where we were between the Middle Ages and the beginning of the 20th Century?
Bomber Harris suggested that the Germans in World War Two had sown the wind and would reap the whirlwind. Perhaps our Christian ancestors should have been a little more careful about what they sowed.

He does. You see, I have the original specimen in a FLAC rig. It’s got 30,000 more Internet hours ahead of the fielded platform. The main supports are holding up well but the OML is widening and showing signs of age.
😉
I am going to make the assumption that that means you have nothing more to contribute here.

The big difference (apart from the obvious) is that FISH lay EGGS. They lay THOUSANDS of eggs in one go. Those that aren’t consumed with the rest of the plankton still stand a fairly good chance of reaching maturity and becoming adult fish.
WHALES, on the other hand, only give birth to one (or very rarely two) calf at a time, and therefore are FAR more prone to becoming fished out than a supply of cod over time.
Kill all the whales in one area, it takes a long time for the population to recover, if at all. Fish populations, however, will come back a bit sooner. Either way, if you want to make some sort of sustainable industry from either species, you need to regulate it.
However, the big thing that would probably put the kibosh on that would be one thing….
MONEY.
Let’s not even get started on the shark-finning industry, though…
Go tell that to cod.
I dont think anybody is advocating unregulated and unlimited whale hunting, simply that it is highly hypocritical to tell the Japanese that it is wrong to hunt whales whilst we enjoy fish.

Allow me to clarify. Clearly an OPV is going to have enough personnel to function in that role, as is a mine counter measures ship. But the idea that the Royal Navy is going to have these boats drifting around with 60 people on board just in case they stumble upon a disaster is something that does not strike me as plausible. I am not suggesting that C3 only have enough sailors to propel it forwards but that this idea of disaster relief needs to be reconsidered.
Furthermore I do not necessarily think that Merlin capability is essential. As I have said before I have some significant disdain for future Lynx and my humble opinion is (this may already be to late) that the navy should consider a hi-lo force of Merlins and then something light such as the AW109 LUH.
The problem we have here is one that I foresaw in my opening post. The desire seems to be to keep pushing up the size and capability of the lower tiers, but to what end?
What actually do we want C3 to be, OPV? MCM? ASW? then work from there.
You’d think so, wouldn’t you?
Have a look in here……. 😮
You have just proved the point. Such people in western society are mocked and laughed at like some kind of strange victorian amusement.
In Islamic societies such barbarity is almost mainstream if that line has not already been crossed.
