Come on, you’re not normally this reticent.

Name and shame, so that we can express our opinions on this stupidity directly to those responsible. :diablo:

I am a big fan of anonimity, especially on the rare occasions I can spell it properly.;)

The Tamils are not in a good position at the moment they got a hammering not so long ago in which they took heavy casualties and lost a lot of ground they had once controlled and the Sri Lankan army is preparing for another massive offensive.

    They have done bombing before.

I don’t doubt for a moment that you have heard exactly this. But in which school did this take place, and when?

I’m fascinated by the speed with which urban legends like this become accepted fact.

I wont say which school, but I was told it by the Chair of the Board of Governors.

    QED.

Just keep telling yourself thats how it went………after it all it ignores the fact that you started this. The fact you just posted such a stupid reply just goes to show that you know you are wrong.

Still ignoring your inability to provide sources then.

I have heard the Black board thing as well, apparently at one point they were being called ‘chalk interfaces’ in at least one school.

Facts or sources for what comments? It’s useless you complaining I haven’t provided any such information when you won’t even say what comments of mine you are disputing/referring to.

You’re like a child who keeps saying to someone “You’re wrooong! You’re wrooong! You’re wrooong!” when the other person doesn’t even know what the kid is talking about. Of course such childish behaviour is to be expected from you. 😉

You were wrong. And still no sources.

I have provided figures for the price difference between the B and C variant F-35, I have provided the cost and in service date for EMALS and I have provided statistics showing the capability gap between the B and the C. You have provided nothing.

I must admit the refusal to hold a referendum over the new EU treaty is disgusting. The logic that there was not one for the Maastricht treaty, therefore this one does not need one is insane, thats like saying ‘I stabbed you once, so its perfectly ok I stab you again’. As for all the Parliamentary cr*p, last time I checked Parliament was meant to be subservient to the people.

You’re resorting to copy-cat tactics? I say you’re taking a child’s approach to the conversation because you equate stating facts like it costs money to install catapults to support, then you just say the same thing back. How pathetic.

Proven wrong on what? I asked what “claims” I made and you won’t even tell me. How ridiculous!

So I take it you think the Americans will install catapults and arrestor gears on our carriers for free, then? 😀

Still no facts or sources, your a joke, I have provided multiple sources and evidence to back up my comments you have provided nothing………a fact that you keep ignoring.

I’m more in the real world than you are.

What claims have I made? That B is cheaper than C? That is a fact. That it costs money to install catapults and arresting gear on carriers? That is also a fact. Apart from that what claims have I made?

You are clearly lying because you’re too arrogant to admit you made an assumption. I’ll challenge you again – say where I said I supported the B variant.

I know what I’m talking about – the problem is that you have a child’s approach to this discussion. If someone points out a fact or asks a question that may contradict your position it means they’re AGAINST you or otherwise support a conflicting position. Any mature person does not work that way. It’s time you addressed your conduct and started acting like someone over the age of four-years old.

One just has to read the above trash to realise that you are taking the childs approach to this. You have been proven wrong and refuse to admit it even though you can not provide a single source to back up any of your comments. You have not even provided any facts just got very upset at your own lack of knowledge.

The A-10 is being upgraded to the “C” configuration w/c basically allows it to attack targets from a safe distance using PGMsm something that can just as eassily be done by the Viper. This acknowledges that loitering over today’s battlefield isn’t a very smart thing to do. Could the money have been better spent elsewhere?

The PGM’s are more for accuracy, especially during CAS operations for troops engaged at close quarters rather than providing a stand off range.

The discussion in this thread seems very orientated towards one vision of the ‘modern battlefield’ whatever that is. That is not the reason for the current love affair with the A-10, the type has proved to be a very effective CAS platform against terrorists and insurgents, notably in Afghanistan but also Iraq, the only threats it faces are small arms and RPG’s, in this environment the type can operate with near impunity.

You really are a big kid. You have failed to quote me where I said anything like “the F-35B is the best choice”. You can accuse me of saying it as many times as you like – it’s clear that I never made those comments. I guess you follow the Goebells method of debating where if you tell a big enough lie often enough people will believe you…..

I might prefer C, but B is still a fair option. If you bothered to read the rest of Richard’s article you’ll see there was never any clear consensus what was better.

The price for the USN when the comment was written. Richard cannot predict the future and know when the RN could get it, at what price, etc. He said no earlier than 2015 – doesn’t mean that date could be pushed backwards.

Oh, congrats for stating the bloody obvious! Where did anyone on this thread say they couldn’t be fitted with them? You really are off in your own little strange reality – please join the rest of us in the real world.

You are certainly not in the real world, still making claims without sources, just vague empty comments without substance. You even have the nerve to accuse others of not bothering to read article when you have not provided a single source for any one of your claims!

You clearly supported the B over the C, then changed your mind when prevented with facts and denied it.

The fact is that you have no idea what you are talking about which is why you can not provide sources and your posts consist of a series of infantile comments.
