I see you are letting your own feelings cloud your judegment as usual then.

Again certainly not, just observations of your words.

I was under the imprresion from reading on many other boards that the Chinese shootdown of a Sat was seriously stupid in that it left debris in orbit thats a hazard for other stuff up there (including the martians!), now as i understand it or have been led to understand the US shootdown will be differant in that the Sat is almost re-entering therefore the debris itself should basically all burn up therefore not making a huge debris cloud thats lethal to anything it might encounter. Someone please chip in and correct me if i’m wrong!

Slightly irritating yes, seriously stupid no. There is more than enough cr*p floating around up there as it is and the addition of one smashed up Chinese satellite does not really make that much difference.

That ‘observation’ seem like it has more projected emotion then actually observed.

Certainly not true, this has clearly unbalanced you a bit.

You do the work. You have nothing on me claiming that Tu-95K22 variants were in widespread service.

And to your surprise, I still bet there’s a couple around

But clearly, according to your unclassified-source book, they were all gone in 2 years.

If you have point to make back it up with evidence, if you can not prove it (which you seem unable to do) shut up.

That whole setup of concentrating the forces on two or three smallish islands along the Chinese perimeter is just plain bad! And one doesn’t even have to think nuclear here.

One does rather suspect that it is what DF-25 is all about.;)

So what is acceptable in America has to be acceptable everywhere else ?

To be honest i have better things to do than watch the sort of TV trash that you seem to find so interesting…Family guy has never struck me as being exactly a fine advertisment for TV American or otherwise !

You could have just admitted that the US is a far more tolerant society than large tracts of Islamic society rather than resorting to the above.

Free speech is fine but not when it is abused to offend others . Diplomacy hasnever been one of your finer ponts but give it a chance some time !

and with regards to Morality..well someone whose attitude to offending others is “Tough luck ” is hardly in a position to lecture !

You can not have free speech without offending others! The very principle of democracy and free speech is ‘tough luck’. Without it neither would work. It is laughable that you suggest one can have free speech without offending anybody.

The Chinese shoot down a broken sat and everyone and their mum jumps in to bash the act. When the US plans to do something similar, not so much as a fart from the international community and some even think its something to be proud of.

You seem to be somewhat over emotional.

So the way things were done 100’s of years ago is acceptable? It may not have been the done thing back then to admit something was wrong & issue and apology but havent we moved on a bit?

And you think that if something is revealed, that shows a horrendous act perpetrated by a government but hidden for years , you honestly think that you should not feel shame for what happened and the way your government has mishandled it over the last few years?

The government of the 1800’s does not belong to anybody alive to day. People of the 21st century have no responsibility for acts that they did not commit. The Romans used to watch people fight to the death (amongst some other even more horrendous acts) for pleasure, to their society it was acceptable, to ours it is not. However we have never done such a thing so why should we apologise for it?

You seem to be suggesting that every human being alive today is responsible for the actions of every other human being from every other combination of time and space. Quite simply this is absurd.

J-11B. Many people don’t like these types of threads, myself included. But I’d like to get a few opinions, informed or not on the topic.

J-11B is basically an enlarged J-10 in a Flanker airframe. The radar is at the same tech level (but bigger), they fire the same missiles and ultimately both will probably use the same power plant (just doubled up in the J-11B). Think F-15 versus F-16.

I thought you were in favour of freedom of speech, sealordlawrence…….. :diablo:

I most certainly am. However I am vehemently opposed to people like lightningf57 who has in the past tried to justify Muslim women being flogged for being rape victims by pointing out rape statistics in the US.

If people want to discuss the state of freedom in the west then fine, but except the fact that it is nowhere near as bad as it is in the Islamic world and that it in no way justifies what Islam does to both indviduals and freedom of speech.

Just yesterday, Bruce Carlson, the 4-star in charge of Air Forcr Materiel Command, says he still intends to purchase 380 F-22s to support ACC’s needs. The story goes that F-35 doesn’t have the performance to take care of the PLAAF hordes that may attack Taiwan.

Unless theyare going to start flying them of aircraft carriers or forward basing on Taiwan I will be interested to here how they intend to conclude that story.

    Which J-11, A or B?

Seems like a pointless thread to me.
