Best year ever for me.We were out of the carpark within 5 minutes of getting to the car,Then out through Tayport and heading north.We were home this year quicker than we got out of the carpark last year.(3 hours +)
I remember in Germany a contractor cutting up a BDR jet and put a sthill saw through a fire bottle,Sense of humour failure.
Not sure about the Seaking hanger being demolished as GEF are still working out of it and it had a lot of money spent on it recently.It looks like they could be repairing this one as the have covered everything up with plastic sheets.They also look as if they are in the progress of demolishing the old 48sqn hanger as both ends have been removed.
The white gun panel is off of scimiter XD264,The stenciling is on the reverse of it.

If you know where to look there are at least two Shackelton cockpit floor sections in there and that cockpit section has three or four parts to it.

My mother lives in the bungalow,It is rumoured that there were nasties buried there when thy filled the quarry,there was also a pile of old practice bombs(1000lb and540lb)just behind the shed as you go in,

If my memory serves me correct the F4 K wasn’t wired for a gun pod until they transfered to the RAF and that the squadrons that received them (111and 43) were allocated fleet defense as part of their war tasking.
I always thought that it belonged to the RAF Museum and was just on long term loan.

Black Mike is still at Leuchars (Sept 2008) and earns her retirement as a place for kids to get there photo taken in a cockpit and have a Tornado pilot tell them what they were like to fly.
