    I’m listening.

You’re not insured with my company are you?

    I’m with Direct Line.

John C , the dishwasher is great for cleaning all the bugs and crap from your Arai or Shoei helmet , same with bike gloves and boots . Also if you hang your socks on the mug racks and you put your Y-fronts on the slots for small plates in your dishwasher you can have clean dry underware in 30mins , they smell a bit Lemony but thats not a bad thing surely .

    LMAO,

Was there alchol involved in this??

    DME

Nah , I very rarely touch the drink . Der has let the cat out of the bag so –
I bought a new Crossbow , finished a backshift and went home to find a parcel , I duly unpacked and assembled the Crossbow and was messing around , the wall between my kitchen and lounge is only plasterboard and I thought the dart would just stick into the wall ,nope , BANG , the bolt went right through the wall and hit the double glazed back window , chipping the window and ruining the curtains and the blind .

In our old house I tried to smelt 24 carat Gold in a crucible on the gas cooker , not enough heat so I was also blasting it with a blowtorch , I grabbed the crucible with a cotton tea towel which burst into flame immediately , the big blob of gold melted through the lino and sat on the concrete floor , I grabbed another cloth and two spoons , grabbed the blob and threw it into the kitchen sink , there was about 1″ of water in the basin , the blop promptly melted through the basin , through the plastic sink and dropped into the kitchen cleaning stuff below , by the acrid smell I guessed it had melted into the Domestos bottle – sure enough it was lying in the bleach having melted through the top of the bottle .
I never noticed that I had thrown the blowtorch up next to the microwave and three of the kitchen cupboards were merrily blazing away .

Explain that to the Insurance Man

Started a chainsaw in the living room once , 0230 in the morning , the bar was too big , ripped into the wooden floor , hit the skirting board and ripped into a brand new leather suite , house full of blue smoke and me grinning like a madman !!!!!!!!!! :dev2:

Alastair – Are you sure the Pilatus P.2 article is in June 1982? I seem to remember it from early 1983 . The report was written by Paul Warren-Wilson who was sadly lost in a Tornado collision in the Lake District.
The June 1982 issue was the first I ever bought at the age of 12 and I have a very fond recollection of that issue. There is a good article on Mustangs around the world – might have been by Paul Coggan !

I think we are both wrong here . Something tells me it was the year before the Spanish World Cup and I bought it in Edinburgh Airport before flying out on holiday aged 13 – that would make it 1981 and the only colour in the magazine was the cover .
The Mustang article was excellent – there was a piece on the Dominican Republic Mustangs – the last active service Mustangs in the world .

    Absolutely certain! (That I’m wrong)

Anybody have a copy of June 88 to hand? Mine’s in the loft

    Moggy

Thats funny , I have a copy of Flypast from June 1982 – there is a Pilatus P2 in Swiss markings on the cover and an article written by one of the owners – the other owner being none other than Mark Hanna.

My first car was a “V” reg Escort , I was only 17 and she was my pride and joy . Somebody stole her from a car park in Bathgate . Found in a local quarry on her roof and burnt out , all my personal items were blowing round in the wind , college stuff , tapes etc . Had to go to court and answer some bizarre questions , the ******* was told to pay my £400 damages – I think I only ever got £2 , but I did get his address , I went to his house and hit him in the face with a coal shovel . Twice . Got a good talking to by the police. He never said a word for a while .
