What about trying to arrange another Scottish meetup around Setters visit ??.

Edited – I must read previous posts before replying . Lets get a date set , book some B+B’s in North Berwick and have a few beers after wandering around EF .

Haven’t been there in ages! Used to get all my R/C stuff out of there. They had an impressive number of R/C Spits hanging from the ceiling, along with a Tiger Moth, Ju88, and an SE5a among others!

NEVER seen a Revell BBMF set before now, though!

Hey , remember the big Red / Silver Dakota that hung next to the huge Ju88 !! , they still have a load of impressive models hanging from the ceiling , nice stuff .

A pile of stuff was dug from the RAF Banff dump fairly recently ( last 2-3 years ) , this included Mossie cowlings , a Mustang seat , Mustang undercarriage doors and other bits and bobs , the whole lot was on sale on Barnstormers.com for £3000 ono , is this the same chap . PM me if I can be of any help .

. It is also a good point that Italians refused to continue the use of their 24 loaned F.3s and rather changed to F-16ADF.

Refused ?? , the Tornadoes were only leased as a stopgap until the Italians bought the F16 .They were leased for an alloted time then returned – they served the full term .

Keep it the same , there is a good mix to the Forum – plenty of quality piccies and other good informative threads . The longer lived threads tend to be of better quality that the general stuff and the photographic content is usually better – comments regarding the photos usually results in more photos forthcoming from the photographer – hence the thread lasts a bit longer . This is NOT to denigrate anybodys photographic skills as all photos are gratefully received and I don’t think I’ve seen a bad shot from any of the Legends photos yet . Thanks .

Nice Hairyplane ( the PT22 ) although I have to say the Magister is my personal favourite , I don’t suppose you would consider trying to buy Sir William Roberts Magister which is now ground bound and looking sorry for itself up here ?? , another Strathallan aeroplane at Shuttleworth to go with their Lysander !!

A few of us even bumped into “our” Steve Patterson at the Red Lion.

Steve just loves flying the flag!

Hey , is Mr Patterson a big guy in a people-carrier or a small chap in a Clio sized motor ?? , I can’t grasp the scale of the photo ?? 😀 . Only kidding , thanks to everybody who has posted photos , I got up early as I thought somebody may have posted some shots of the arrivals – I’m well impressed ( and a tad envious ) . And I’m looking forwards to seeing the ” Patterson – The Tour – Part 2 ” photos , bring the chap up here !! , the land of whisky and golf !! ( very few old aeroplanes though ) .

Have a nice day , and thanks for the quality photos !! ( keep ’em coming )
