Keith Mac is coming down from the Highlands on Friday night and is staying at our place ( Armadale ) so I’m hitching a lift with him , we will be travelling out by the Edinburgh by-pass , I’m pretty sure he will have a spare seat or two , hopefully he’ll spot this post as I’ve managed to lose his Email address – should be a good day out as the Museum is officially closed so it should only be us lot having a good nose around !! .

Hmm, so what you are all saying is that you’ll be having a get-together at East Fortune on saturday 24th april. Is that correct so far?
Most definately , are you coming along ?? , should be a good day looking at all the oxy-acetylene burning marks all over the large Airfix Concorde .
Bump . Is it 10 o’clock at the entrance to EF then ??
I got a letter through the door too , still won’t be getting another Sky subscription though – they can stick it .

Although Iยดm not a regular poster in here, I must say thank you for your actions. What happened in the last days is excellent news for the whole forum. I hope we can now go back to an interesting discussion of aviation related matters.
I’m much the same , I stopped looking after the bickering started – place looks much better now , well done Ian.
Takes a bit of bottle apologising Andrew – well done , good move , you are a valued member of this forum – it would have been easy for you to sneak away and not respond .

Sorry for the delayed response. I’ve been aviating down under. My punchline (if you had not already guessed from Damien’s criptic response) is that BRIS is hebrew for CIRCUMCISION !!
You can see why I’ve stalled in telling the owner. It’s not the easiest letter to write. ๐
Ouch !!:D

Sounds fine to me , are you coming down on the Friday Keith ?? , I had to nip out and buy a decent malt and a fridge full of Belhaven , I would never be able to fool a Highlander with cheapo Co-op whisky !! .:)
Young lad just started work for the same company as me , I was chatting to him and mentioned I was interested in aviation – he immediately mentioned he had some stuff belonging to his great-uncle and brought this painting in to show me . The painting is by N.Cloke – who apparently was a Lysander pilot too , it is painted on a Whatmans Colour Sketching Board sold by ” W.Heffer & Sons Ltd , Sidney Street , Cambridge” . That is all I know about it at present but I should have more details tomorrow . I want to buy this painting , and another similar one but I would like to find out a reasonable price ?? , I don’t want to be seen ” ripping ” somebody off , I will pay a fair price – but what is a fair price ?? , over to you lot !!.
Many thanks , Alastair
Anybody know what the fate of Boeing 720 G-BCBA was ??
Until fairly recently I was driving a 1965 Ford Zephyr MkIII ( 6 cylinder , noisey , huge interior all in leather , spares are dirt cheap – still a better car then the Euro Boxes sold over here , although I do like the Aussie Holdens – real cars !!!
