Anyone into the following:
New Order, The Cure, Smashing Pumpkins, Cocteau Twins….
Yup , except The Smashing Pumpkins – I don’t like Billy Corgan for some reason – just can’t get into them .
Anybody ever listen to John Peel’s Festive 50 ?? , on a 1992 tape I have a song called “Commercial Rain ” , I think it’s an Inspiral Carpets track ?? , but can’t find it on any of their albums , anybody any ideas ???

Great to see you’re a Sisters fan Alastair.I ran into Wayne Hussey once, he asked what my favourite Mission song was, I said I preferred First Last and Always. He just stopped speaking to me there and then.
I never liked the Mission much , ok but not great . I met Andrew Eldridge from SOM once , down the Grassmarket in Edinburgh , they were playing that night in the Playhouse and he was well melted – I expected a disaster but they were excellent. Funnily enough I met Robin Zander and Rick Nielsen from Cheap Trick in the same boozer ( The White Hart ) the same day they were playing too – Rick Nielsen had a bizarre necklace on consisting of small plastic aeroplanes and plastic cutlery.

All my pictures so far have been absolute ******** , the ones taken with my old Fuji Finepix have been better , this is probably due to the fact that I can’t be arsed reading the telephone book instruction manual for the 10D , one problem I do have is a kind of “corona” effect round any lights or sparkly bits , anybody any idea ???.
Thanks for sharing this with us Paul , many condolences.
Best Regards
Ren ,
I owe you a beer , got both CD’s in this morning Surfer Rosa/C’Mon Pilgrim and Doolittle for £15.07 – and that was including the VAT , bargain !!!!!

One gig I would have loved to have seen would have to be Lou Reed and the Velvet Underground , or maybe Iggy Pop with the Stooges ( is it just me but does every Student Union Jukebox have Iggy Pop- Passenger on it ???)

3) is rammstein split up?
4) Fleetwood Mac
5) The beatles
No Rammstein haven’t split up – I just meant to make the point that you could basically choose any band which has ever existed , The Stranglers are still doing the rounds too , without Hugh Cornwell – but the new stuff is 5hit ,Sugar Bullets etc . The Raven is an all time favourite album of mine , along with Rattus Norvegicus .
Other bands I would have as support would be The Dead Kennedys and Therapy
