😀 😀 Cheers Geedee !!! , that cheered me up , this is my first full day back at work since I got out of hospital , I’m afraid motorcycling is in the past for me now , I’m keeping a Ducati 888SP2 but everything else is gone now , to the scrapyard in the sky – a Yamaha YZF750SP – my fault , flipped it into a hedge – repaired then T-boned by a car , a Honda CBR1000 ( not my fault – it siezed and spat me off ), 2 Honda RVF400’s – gifted to a Grey Bike series race team – just being stupid and a Kawasaki ZZR600 – shunted into the centre reservation by an idiot BMW driver pulling out in front of me , slid me mates Hardly Dangerous down the road the day before my wedding ( still haven’t paid for it , cheers Howard )
I know this is HIGHLY irresponsible but I did have a loan of a Hayabusa a couple of months ago and on the downhill stretch of the M8 from the Shotts turnoff to the Harthill services I can DEFINATELY state they will do 200mph , 03:00 , empty motorway , brand new bike – who wouldn’t have tried it !!!.

A crying shame , last year was supposed to be his final year to make some serious cash , ironically after one of the greatest achievements ( the BSB Crown ) he was supposed to retire – but is taken from us by a helicopter accident . RIP Hizzy , Joey “yer maun”Dunlop , Dave Jeffries – all sad losses to the race scene .

I was wondering how long it would take for you to pop up, Alastair.
I know , it’s a sad hobby but it’s all I can afford 🙁
I now have 2 road legal Fergies and I LOVE causing major tailbacks 😀
However , I have just had my left leg repaired so at present I’m not driving anything anyway 🙁

I’m pretty sure she was , then converted back by Sir William Roberts , I have photo’s of her taken immediately after she landed at Strathallan , photo’s of her completely stripped and after her repaint , if it’s ok with Der Fleming ( who took the photo’s) I’ll try and post some here.
Snapper , The book I promised you will be in the post tomorrow ( Tuesday 4th ) , I’ve been keeping the NHS busy for a few weeks (big thanks to Der from the Forum for taking the time out to nip up and see me in Ward 14 , St Johns , Livingston) –
whoever invented motorbikes really needs a kicking ,- but now I’m back at work the book will be posted ASAP
Roger , as a tractor / agricultural collector ( sad , I know ) keep a look out for “Classic Tractor” or “Tractor & Machinery” . The Ransome MG crawlers are still in use in many market gardens and orchards as they don’t cause so much soil compaction . The RAF bought a few of these for general duties – grubbing out drainage ditches etc . You can buy a secondhand MG2 in excllent condition , with implements for a couple of hundred pounds , the RAF bought them in the standard Ransomes red/blue ( they are normally blue with red tracks and sprockets) colour scheme and sprayed them a gray/blue colour . My neighbours have a couple for cleaning out the bottom of hedgerows with a single furrow plough – they are great fun to play around with and you can still get spare parts no probs , and are very cheap . If you want a few magazines featuring the MG2 and other variants of them – just send me your snail mail address to mail@alastairgeorge.fsnet.co.uk and I’ll stick a few editions featuring the Ransomes to you FOC.
There is an owners club , I’ll try to look out their address and post it , there will be a few at the Biggar Show next weekend and I’ll try and get some ( invariably poor) photos , the RAF purchased small dozer blades for cleaning snow from walkways , rollers and some hitches for pulling Tiger Moths around , amongst other implements.
We have two black Labs , Cassie and Buddy – we also have 2 Golden Retreivers Maggie and Belle , we tend to buy a new one every three years so we always have 4-5 dogs , I did have a long haired GSD , Sasha , until recently but she had severe hip problems and unfortunately had to be put down . All are working gundogs and are very well natured with kids.
