Well done indeed.

Those who rarely apply themselves to anything ambitious or taxing are far too quick to ridicule the achievement of those with spirit and guts.

I have to agree with you Rob , insecure , underachiever types always seem to mock people who have actually got off their asses and committed themselves to actually achieveing something – setting themselves a target.

And , hey , she did it without a balaclava !!!! 🙂

You better be right Patty boy 😉 , I’m going to see about LASIK a week on Tuesday . Optimax , Charing Cross Mansions , Glasgow . I’m ****ting myself already.

You are probably right Ken , I use the daily disposable lens and they are fine .

Hows the flying coming on anyway ?? , are you training over at Cumbernauld ?? – meant to ask earlier but I lost your Email address in an impressive PC Tower fire .

To be honest Ken , three of my workmates have had the LASIK treatment and they say they delighted with the results , I probably will have it done at some point in time . How do you fancy going along to one of the Optimax open nights in Charing Cross – just to have a look around ?? – and if you book the treatment on the night they knock the price down . Although I would be wary of anybody offering discounted eye surgery !!

I spent 5 years installing and maintaining Mercury / YAG Rod Lasers . Very interesting . Laser eye surgery ?? – No.

Excellent post Whalebone – well put , I fear that in the case of my friend he is going to get his fingers burnt . He is very shy , can’twon’t talk to females in the pub. We always said that the first lady he dated would be his wife . Apparently when he went to Thailand with a group of friends he contacted a dating agency on the Internet and arranged to meet 4 Thai ladies , went on holiday , surveyed the line and chose a bride . Since she flew over we have only spoken to him briefly and I get the impression that she is very much in control of him . Basically I thnk it is just the easy way for a guy who is socially inadequate , shy and lonely . Maybe they are just starting to realise that they are getting on in years and just haven’t got the time to get out and about and look for a companion . I just hope Steve isn’t getting stung financially and morally .
