Lasham is in Hampshire near Alton/Basingstoke. It used to be a Dan Air maintenance base but is now home to ATC Lasham who still carry out maintenance on B727/B737 etc but mostly executive aircraft. It is also home to the Lasham Gliding Club.
The interior of the Sea Prince was quite tatty and was being used as a storage/workshop.
Because more packing and supports were being put in rather than being taken out.
Photo evidence of the contents of the box taken Thursday afternoon.
It looked like something departing rather than an arrival by the way it was carefully strapped in and packed.

Nice pictures Darren. You beat me to it in uploading yours first. I must have seen you there this morning as I am in the background in two of your pictures.
Nice to have a wander round Duxford again with the sun shining. By early afternoon the Comet, Concorde, Vulcan and Dove all had rope barriers round them and steps in front of the Concorde. So this morning was nice to get some good clean/clear shots this morning whilst they were being moved. A rare opportunity.
Best regards

These are the only two I have. Hope they may be of some use to you.
WH887 and Provosts at Wycombe today
Just made a quick visit to Wycombe Air Park this afternoon. The nose of the Canberra WH887 was outside on the back of a lorry. Also outside was the Provost from Sandtoft WW421(G-BZRE).
Inside the yard seen through the open door was the wings of the other Sandtoft Provost WV499 (G-BZRE). Couldn’t see the fuselage but couldn’t get a full view inside. It may have been in there though. Also on a more modern note were two black Hawk fuselages XX278 and XX339 inside.
The Lightning and Hunter are still by the main entrance.
Well done. Congratulations on your appointment. I last visited from down South in 2002 and it’s on my list again for this spring.
Great museum and now there’s Concorde to see as well.
Best regards

According to the MACH III Publication UK Air Arms 2004 it is listed as being broken up at Bedford 1990.
However on checking through an old Wrecks and Relics 12th edition it was reported as being broken up and small pieces being removed in 1988.
Going back further to Wrecks and Relics 11th edition it was reported as being on the dump in sections July 1987.
Sorry I cant help further.
I have been using http://www.bonusprint.co.uk for 6 x 4 prints at 12p each. Send them via their server and they are normally back in the post about 2 days later. Good quality paper, colours look right and overall very good quality.
I have also http://www.klik.co.uk but wasn’t too pleased with the results. Even high resolution digital shots seemed soft and colours were not so good. Turnaround time was about the same but quality not good. Maybe I just had a bad exeperience with them.
Boots in the High Street also do a good job and I believe even do a one hour service. Normal prices for next day or so are sometimes as low as 10p each when I used them recently when they had an offer running. Quality was good as well.
A very good high quality service on line from Photobox but check the prices first.
Even with photo glossy paper pictures printed on an inkjet picture look just like they are – Inkjet prints. Using one of the online printing services they are almost indistinguishable from normal photographs. Coupled with the cost of genuine inks and glossy photo paper I very rarely use my Epson printer now for photos.
Great clear pictures Steven. Thanks for posting
Best regards
