If you go to http://www.taxiway.fr guided tours can be arranged around the factory. I’m going this coming Friday. No photography allowed in the factory though.
Enjoy your trip.
The Lufthansa CRJ700 was D-ACPP which brought in the football team from Bayern Munich who are playing Southampton tomorrow.
Where was it moved to. Is it still at Gatwick or has it gone elsewhere.
Gatwick viewing terrace
I know the Herald G-CEXP was taken off the roof a few months ago and is now parked on the airfield alongside the Trident and wingless Comet. Does anybody know what has happened to the Comet nose in BOAC colours on the roof. Is it still there or has this now been moved.
The Biggin Hill Hurricane LF738 is the one that is now at Cosford museum
I don’t know where the originals came from but there is one painted up as ‘G-AFAP’ in the RAF Museum at Cosford. That particular example is one of the ex Spanish Air Force Casa 352L’s that was ex T2B-272 that was I believe around for some time in the ighties before going to Cosford.
The regular AN22 UR09307 was at Manston late last night so this is probably where it departed to from Brize.
The original is as far as I can find out still preserved at the Flyhistorik Museum Sola at Stavanger painted as LN-PSG although is actually LN-BFY . It is still listed in the European Wrecks and Relics book noted as being present Oct 2001.
Gatwick Gannet taken July 2003 by myself. I know the Shackleton and a couple of others are in ground running condition but I don’t think the Gannet is one of them.

I know the codes did change around but from looking though some pictures R/042 could be XL450 which is displayed at the museum at Hermeskeil, Germany. ????
Any comments/corrections welcomed.

XL502 Sandtoft Gannet
Attached is a picture of XL502 at Sandtoft taken by myself on 14th Aug 2003.
The CoA expired I believe in 1989 but it was the last airworthy one in the UK when it arrived by air from Carlisle.

Just to clarify which Britannia are you talking about. The Britannia displayed at Cosford is not in military markings and has never been in service with the RAF as far as I know. The aircraft is
G-AOVF and is painted in BOAC colours

TG517 Hastings at Newark
As requested a picture of the Hasstings TG517 at Newark museum last month. A great museum well worth a visit. This was only the second time that I had been there.
Go to http://www.planepictures.net and search under Newark Air Museum or more pictures of the other exhibits.
