Sorry for bump, but I’ve read a post from someone who is probably a bmi employee that an A321 registered G-MEDU will be delivered in May.

Also G-STRX has left the fleet.

Brawn completely dominated qualifying this morning. One of the most exciting qualifying sessions I’ve seen. Can’t wait for the race tomorrow.

    Got any photos?

Where was it parted out at by the way? It’s a real shame that it had to be one of the newer a/c written off.

Doesn’t actually look too bad in plain white.

If she is parted out will that make her one of the newest planes to be parted out in the UK industry?

G-MIDZ has been handed back to the lessor following end-of-lease work and repaint (all white). The lessor is currently paying bmi to look after it in storage at EMA. As there are apparently no takers for it right now, there’s a suggestion going around the airport that it will soon be off to the south-western USA either for further storage or maybe even part-out.

Part out? She has at least 10 years left in her. It’d be sad to see a plane with plenty of years left parted out.

Also does anyone have any pictures of her in storage?

    are monarch getting anymore.

Monarch could get G-MIDL and G-MIDC, as they’ve bought a lot of A321s from bmi in the past.

Flew in G-MEDN last week LHR-CAI – it was delivered after bmi bought out BMed and so was delivered from new in full bmi colours. Quite nice inside too – PTVs and selection of movies in all seats, J and Y class.

You’re lucky, I flew on a 4hr flight on G-MIDL and had no in flight entertainment.

Also I’ve found out that G-MIDC is going to be WFU soon (thank god) and G-MIDL is to be returned to the lessor 🙁

^G-MEDN is the only A321 in the fleet in the full livery.

Sorry for bumping this, but does anyone know what airline G-MIDZ might go to? She’s been sitting at EMA in a plain white livery for quite a while now.

Also are bmi still taking delivery of 4 new A321’s this year?

I think MIDC is set to leave the fleet at some point.
MIDZ is returning to the leasing company. Shes currently at EMA all white.
I also heard MIDX will be leaving but I dont know how true that is.

Not sure about the Bmed birds.

It’s about time G-MIDC left imo. By the way is G-MIDL staying? I’d be sad to see her go, flew on her from EMA to FUE last year.

Also didn’t know MIDZ was leased, I thought bmi had owned that plane since it was British Midland.

I won’t be sad to see MIDX go if it does, that plane looks terrible in my opinion.

I’d personally prefer to see them stay in the hybrid livery – it looks better than the standard colours on the A321 – the curve looks way too looooooong.

I’m the complete opposite, I think G-MEDN looks fantastic. My favourite aircraft in the fleet.
