ALC orders 14 x Boeing 737-800s, 5 x 777-300ERs and 4 x 787-9s

Bombardier has announced that a major network carrier will be the launch customer for the C Series. The airliner has not been disclosed, any clues who it might be?

I think Boeing may be waiting till next year to observe the operational statistics of the 787 and whether to go down the same composites and design path or not.

As I said before, Boeing may be significantly loosing out to the NEO at the moment but if they can actually deliver an aircraft that saves 20 % in fuel burn they will have no problem in the future. What they need to do is show their customers such as Ryanair and Southwest that they are going to announce one thing or the other in Q1 2012.

@David Kerr – Bramall Hall in design looks exactly like Gregynog Hall in Wales. Is there some kind of connection between the architecture of the two buildings?

Now defunct Indian carrier Damania from the early 90s was fined and eventually had to shut shop after an incident where 2 passengers were taken standing between BOM and DEL.

So they were clearly ahead of Ryanair. 😀

Jim, I personally don’t like locking threads and don’t do it very easily. As of now I don’t see a reason (yet) to get rid of it.
