i know they were concerned after the mid-air colision but this is ridiculous.

Airbus has definately smaller resale value……B737 can be sold to other airlines much easily than a A320.

If they are on a economic and cost-saving kick Airbus will not be the choice. B737s, cheap, efficient, and most importantly still hold the market for re-sale.

Its returns were very very high, they owed many people lots of money. Ansett owed ANZ more than $80 million under funding arrangements. The Qantas monopoly in Aus skies hurted the more. Ansett did not take the seriousness of there loss making company as signs of trouble were blinking since 1998.

Its a gas guzzler. Doesent support the economics of an airline.
