RE: News Items…CSA emergency landing/Boeing 737-900 is still growing/SAA plans to splash out on Ai

Yes Jet Airways will recieve its 900s in March…and dont worry Boeing wont come out with a 900X….they are not dumb, they are over-flowing with experience.

    RE: Most Memorable flight?

9W flight Delhi-Mumbai, the whole flight on jumpseat.
and a few more jumpseat flights with 9W and IC.

But till now for me one flight stands out of all…..Druk Air flight from Delhi to Thimpu(Bhutan) on a BAe 146. The flight was breathtaken. The pilot came and sat with us for more than half the flight. Then he actualy took 2 rounds of Mt. Everest so that the only 7 passengers on board get a good view and sitting on jumpseat while landing in Thimpu….and believe me…..there is no more photogenic airport than this one…and also one of the toughest to land into. The airports name is Paro…..and in this pic u see the house in forground…thats when the pilot makes a really steep decent in order to land. Druk Air is a very small airline with just 2 BAe 146. I have some pics of the airport and the a/c when i visited back in 1994 i think…i’ll post them soon.
