Cheers for the info Michael. I basically want to do everything possible to avoid getting stuck at Heathrow, the airport is a nightmare.
I plan to come into London a day earlier on the 21st just to be on the safe side.
Quite an unlikely thing for SpiceJet to do. But this reminds me of an airline in India in the 90s which was asked to shut shop after such repeated incidents.
I have been on the IAFs IL 76 and absolutely love the machine. But I am biased towards any Russian hardware so. 😀
I guess we won’t know till we get closer to the date.. I guess the worse that can happen is that either there is snow/ice/fog and flights are delayed/cancelled in which case I’m sure Kingfisher will get you out ASAP and offer compensation.
That is what I am bothered with a little bit, although i am being optimistic. Since I am rather busy these days with research work I gave my father the duty to book my tickets and he booked me with IT (i prefer 9W). IT facing all the losses these days that is I fear that it may leave passengers hanging for a fair bit if that kind of situation arises. But I am hoping they won’t as LHR is their numero-uno international route.
But I guess you are correct, we will have to see closer to the date. But with the kind of weather warnings being raised I am preparing for the worst for now.
Condolences to the families of the lost.
