    RE: Landing fee

At Heathrow its near 3,500 pounds for a 737/320(not sure). Of course its all about money, if bigger airlines pay better to the airport they will get better fascilities and ground staff work. As this is also a big industrie, its all about money.

    RE: CDG-What is it like?

I was in CDG a few days ago as well. Its quite a swell airport. Althou i would prefer if all gates there had a direct aero bridge insted of busses taking passengers to the plane. I saw alot of construction there, maybe a new terminal or something? Aeroflot, out of seven days, 3 days they operate a Il 86 and 4 days A 310s. But i quite liked CDG. Perfect for pics. I was in hall F. Yea..the food there is also very good. I took about 60 pics there.

    RE: European top ten airlines

PLEASE…i dont want this forum like Airforces Monthly. there it practically is war everyday. And 10 airlines, that actually quite impossible to answer. Every airline is good for somethin other wise they would have never existed.

    RE: Iberia pilots strike again

If pilots unite, there is no stopping them. Recently Cathay Pacific pilots went on strike, in return the airline sacked two pilots which made the pilots retrieve there strike. this cannot be done in European airlines otherwise there will be a bid scene there. But if this meeting was there, then airlines are heading for a dark ditch. I think a law should be enforced, restricting strikes.

    RE: scandinavian airlines

I mostly use SAS when travelling to Europe. Its a good airline with good service. Know that there new A340s and A330s are coming it is going to better. But there is one thing in SAS that bothers me. And that is there air hostess. They are old, and a lil on grumpy side. I have heard that SAS’s air hotsesses union is so strong that SAS cant remove any of them. Anyway, i think if SAS goes ahead with there merger, it is going to help them alot. I have noticed SAS still dosent have the big name that it should. Its fleet changing program is under way and by next month i think they are getting there A340s and A330s, also replacin there MD 80s with NG 737s. Is SAS buying the A321 also? But if SAS merges with Finair, that is going to help them alot in many ways. But i think Finair should not go ahead with this merger. I mean they are doin great in there field.

RE: Business jets in commercial traffic

Bizjets routes are not comman at all. Only a few airlines have Bizjets. Unites used to have 2 Gufstreams which they sold of some time back. Bizjets are not for a airline, for small routes airlines mainly operate commuters like ATRs and Saabs.

RE: BA’s Deli Service on Shuttles

I agree, BA behave in many diffrent ways depending the passengers are from which country. On flight Delhi-London, air hosteses get fed up attending Indian travelers. They are always asking for a drink. They make a mess around the toilets etc. But even if they do allt his, there has not been even a single case of air rage from this sector. I think best to travel in a B747 is Business Class as i atleast find BA 747s too cramped.

    RE: Saab 340 & 2000

Saab 340 and 2000 are both excellent aircraft, and Crossair is very happy with them. I have travelled in the 2000, its very good and comfortable, but from outside its a little bit to streched out. Althou i have noticed the 2000 is more quiter than many turbo props.

    RE: Best airline

agreed, its quite hard to say about the best airline. Every airline in my opinion is good for something. Its very hard to name one airline, but i like Lufthansa, Jet Airways, SIA and the best business class i have encountered is that of Ansett Australia’s.

RE: how to promote an airport?

Well, i would like to get the midea into action. A small documentry about the airport will be a good idea. And also as V1 said, getting the authoroties involved as they are a part of the family of the airport. Making the documentry wont be easy, a small one can be done with a handycam only with a stand as a stand is very important.

    RE: Boeing 757-200ERX

Nepal has a fleet of 2 B757s and has also recently leased a B767 from Lauda. Althou i am not a liker of the 757, i think it is a good aircraft for small countries as Keltic said. Jet Airways plans to go international with B757s(see this months Airliner World page 23)
