Yes, I don’t see why a government should be running an airline, it may well be a successful arm but in todays scenario it does not make sense. It used to, when it was a thing about pride and all but if it goes wary then its the tax payer who ultimately pays up to keep it afloat. More than that you run a business by the markets, and not by national symbolism. That era is gone.
Take Air India for example, bleeding like a man who has been shot in the head, but yet flying by public bail-out money because its the ‘national flag carrier’. Whatever that means in todays world.
