There goes the siren that warns of the air raid
Then comes the sound of the guns sending flak
Out for the scramble weve got to get airborne
Got to get up for the coming attack.
Jump in the cockpit and start up the engines
Remove all the wheelblocks theres no time to waste
Gathering speed as we head down the runway
Gotta get airborne before its too late.

only been nervous a couple of times…during dramatic happenings though.
Only real time i was nervous was on a Alliance Air B732 flight from Bhopal to Delhi. I still think the pilot mistakenly took the 732 instead of his Mig 29.
other than not much…. if events do happen, like recently the bird hit seconds before take off and the sudden breaking with a few ft of runway to spare, i was not nervous but had a jump in my adrenalin. Thats how i usually react.
maybe something is wrong with me. 😀
GnR.
Let alone Appetite… look at there songs such as Estranged, Coma, Locomotive etc. Top notch musicians…. can’t compare GnR to Jobi.

BOAC carried the first jet passengers across the Atlantic, beating the US by several weeks. You can cross the Atlantic today by jet as well, and at similar speeds to those old Comet 4’s and 707’s…
thats almost depressing
Or is this just a response by the airline saying ‘sort out your country’s security’?
Thats about it i would guess.
Excellent news!

I kind of get what you are saying but i think the reasons for this is the pre-determined style of the future of air travel. I think most airlines took to the hub-to-hub flying concept. DXB and SIN literally run on connections because of there geographical locations make them a perfect stop points between Asia and America.
For example Delhi, geographically has always been perfectly placed between Asia and Europe. The earliest KLM flights i think always used to have Delhi as a stop-over for flights to S.E.Asia. But Delhi never marketed itself as a hub resulting in what we have today from Delhi, are mostly direct flights.
Also depends on markets, i don’t know how it is in US but here in India domestic connections are usually easily available. International connections not so much because this is not a marketed hub.

She already knows I’ve got a warped sense of humour, so I’m thinking a wee social drink would be a good start!
don’t forget your chainsaw and the gorilla. 🙂

If nothing else, her Mum will like you. 🙂
gold 😀
But i think all this formal hoopla on date is overdone. I don’t think i have ever taken a girl out for an actual formal dinner. If she does not want to go to see Buddy Guy or Joe Bonamassa instead, she had better find a different date. :p
