I have had disagreements with Sandy on a few occasions. I think he is a very valued and valuable contributor. I don’t know what he has done to deserve this banning as no reasons are required or given. I just hope that the doesn’t take his talents elsewhere, that he serves out his ban for reason or reasons unknown and then rejoins the forum.

His loss, as would that of other valuable contributors, be a great one that the forum can ill afford. I hope Sandy doesn’t feel too hurt by the actions of the moderators who obviously have their reasons. As Matthew Murray said…..

“We hope you understand our reasoning, and why we have proceeded in this manner.”

I would like to understand the reasoning, but as no reasoning has been given, that is impossible to do.

Just hope the forum doesn’t lose valuable members in this way.

Grey Area.

I apologise for the mix up over GD or GA. I thought it had gone to GD.

Now, I still stand by what I beleieve, that there is often no justification in closing or locking threads, or at least no justification which the moderators are willing to share with us. It’s ok. It’s rule three in the Code of Conduct and we have to accept that quite often, if our opinions run contrary to that of the moderators, the expression of such opinion will result in deletion or locking of the thread.

I personally will just have to think whether what I choose to write will fit in with the moderators opinions and if not I’ll just not have to post.

I have emailed the Webmaster for clarification on this matter. Just have to wait and see what’s said.

In the meantime, please feel free to lock the thread. 🙂

I’m afraid I don’t agree. I expressed my contempt for his actions. The language used was not offensive nor gratuitous. I stand by what I said and the debate, for that is what it was, should have been allowed to run its course.

I ask again, why was my action so much worse than that of andrewm?

Please explain why Grey Area. Not trying to cause trouble, just asking politely. My comments get the thread pulled, bearing in mind it’s nothing I wouldn’t say to his face, and he blithely sails on with his contemptuous behaviour?

I’m sorry, but that smacks of double standard.

How could you pull a GD thread when you’re not a mod there?
