No, I wouldn’t like to go on any operation, but if I’d ever had to, I’d like to think I would. To experience the comradeship of being part of a crew would be magnificent. But the heartache of losing your friends and the sheer unpredictability of all make it very unnerving. An 88mm shell never differentiated between an experienced or inexperienced crew.

I’m happy trying to repay the debt.

Yes I’m a collector have been since I turn 18 I’ve own over the past 20 years 75 different guns does that make me a Nut. I presently have 12 Guns in my collections, I also carry a 38 snub nose as a concelled gun. I live and work near woods and on the weekend can be found out most time in the wood lot chopping wood or just having fun and I don’t go anywhere unless I have at least one gun with me why because we have these things call Predators you know stuff that like to attack Humans.

Speed is a factor in the survivability of an RTA. In most cases. There are instances when speed has nothing to do with the outcome. I worked as part of a team carrying out CPR on a 14 year old female “joyrider”. This was weeks after a 25 mile an hour impact with a tree. She had never regained consciousness but she died. I worked on a woman of 60 who was hit at 60 mph. The result was the same.

I always try to drive within my limits, it’s the only thing you can do. Problems arise when a driver’s perception of their own limitations far exceeds the actuality of those limitations.

I just picked up three Corgi aviation archive 707’s in 1/144th scale. I’m not really a collector, not of models anyway, but these were boxed and mint, still have protective tissue and sleeves on the noses, wings and tails. The aircraft are a Braniff 707 in blue, a TWA 707 and Air Force One. I found Air Force One on a US website retailing at $120.

I paid £5.99p each ! Is that a bargain?

NO! Extended warranties are just a rip off. The service is terrible and in some cases non existent. You ask in “Dixon’s” what the best deal they will do is and often an employee will tell you they have little profit margin on the goods but will give a discount if you buy an extended warranty, that is how they make their money. I had an extended warranty on a PC once. I took it in for repair and was told it would be weeks before they could even look at it. Took it to the local PC shop and it was repaired, and trouble free ever since, within an hour.
