Excellent thread. Next time you’re at BHX let me know and I’ll take you up on the carpark where you can get good approach and departure shots. Apparently there’s a good spot I’ve yet to visit at Sheldon Country Park.

You got some very good shots there. Emirates seem to be using the 777 a lot now, possibly instead of the twice daily A330 that was proposed?

Have to agree with the others. Two very mature responses from NCL and EAL_KING which really do not need adding to. You are right, it is your decision and I am confident that you will make the best decision for you. Whatever you decide, I wish you luck.

Vicbitter.

Beautiful photographs and heartening to see such a turnout. I visit Cannock regularly but have never been for Anzac Day.

It is a special place and seeing your photos shows the esteem and regard the boys from NZ are still held in. If it’s a consolation, they rest in a beautiful setting.

Thanks for the comments all. The flight was at least 80% full and cost the massive amount of 38 Euro’s. I have to say I loved the experience and can’t wait to do it again.

Walking away, don’t think this will be my last flight somehow.

And now a question or two. Anyone able to find me the registrations of the following aircraft on my arrival at 14.30 on Sat 24/04 will get a gold star. Those I am looking for are all the Ryanair and EZY 737’s at the terminal as we taxied in, the two white 747’s, the white 757 and the white Tristar opposite the terminal and the two cargo 747’s (Global Express?) and the Flying Colours aircraft. I would be most grateful. Thanks.

And, two at PAU, a white ATR42? and a Hiller uh12E. Now ther’s a challenge.
