    Mixtec.

I may be wrong because I’m not too good with these things but the first time I reformatted and used the one button check up I had a lot of errors. I was told it could be due to having to install service packs? Once you’ve gone through begin fix you should be ok. I have had no problems at all since except the odd shortcut error which is fixed in the same way.

    Snapper and Dan.

I will definitely spare a thought for all of them tomorrow. For many, tomorrow holds a significance for a very different and much happier reason. It bodes us well to remember that all those brave young men died in the service of their respective countries. I wonder whether their wives or sweethearts were waiting for a gift or a card which never came, or whether they died without knowing there was a card, letter or gift waiting for them on their beds?

    Hi, Steve.

Have to agree with the 747. Concorde has never been a favourite of mine. I appreciate the technical expertise which led to Concorde but have never, ever considered the aircraft to be even remotely good looking. The best thing about it from a spectator’s point of view is the noise. I’m from a generation which remembers Concorde taking precedence over a project called the TSR 2, the cancellation of which deprive the UK of one of the most advanced warplanes of the time and led to us having to use American equipment. The failure of Concorde also rang the death knell for the UK’s civil aviation manufacturing companies.

The 747, as displayed at Duxford last October was totally awesome, it’s grace and controllability showing through even at low level and slow speeds. That display had even hardened historic fans like me clapping and cheering. The commentary from the pilot was fascinating… ” we come into the turn at 180 knots and 300 feet and puuulllllllll…” And this beautiful beast earned itself a place of affection in the hearts of most of those who saw it.

This has gone on a long time hasn’t it? If I remember rightly I was in my early forties when the camera first went out. If it should come to me my address has changed so send it care of..
