    VLM Flyer.

If you read what I said on the avatar thread you will notice I was not including you, who is honest about two personas, but others who have in the past used two identities to make accusations, insinuations and threats about and to other forum users. What you are doing is harmless, others may have an altogether more sinister agenda.

    Comet/VLM flyer.

We are used to you using both of those names and as you say there is nothing wrong with that. You are open and honest about it. However I am sure that in the past we have had people using multiple identities for more sinister purposes, for making personal and abusive attacks on other members. To me that is far more dangerous than an avatar of admittedly questionable taste.

Damn. You’ve found me out. I am in fact Wysiwyg. The original, so please accept no pale imitations.

I think the avatar was disgusting, am I the only one to notice that the lady in question had dirty fingernails?

    Regards,

    kev35…… or not?

I don’t understand why anyone would need more than one identity on any forum. You are who you are and calling yourself by a number of different identities won’t change that. Having multiple personas seems wierd. I can only imagine you would want another (secret) identity if you wanted to cause mischief, or if you were ashamed of your original identity. I’m kev35, always have been and always will be. I stand by the comments I make on these fora, unless of course I am proved wrong, and am proud of my identity and do not see the need to hide behind another identity.

Sorry if that got a bit confusing, but I know what I was trying to say.

The words arm and release would lead me to think it is some kind of device controlling the release of explosive ordnance. Could it be something fitted to the bomb racks of US built aircraft?

I’ve met one or two people who might be considered famous. Henry Cooper, Bonnie Langford, Sarah Brightman, Brian Blessed, Freddie Garrity, Jim Bowen, most of the UK Gladiators, an Irish folk singer, Ann Breen and probably most famous of all, Barney the Dinosaur!

The people I have been most pleased to meet have been those connected with aviation such as Group Captain Sir Douglas Bader, Group Captain T G ‘Hamish’ Mahaddie, ‘Pinkie’ Stark, Rik Dupre, Jimmy Stewart, Keith Lawrence, George ‘Grumpy’ Unwin, Bob Morris, and quite a few other aircrew at book signings etc. Also Roger Freeman and the author Dilip Sarkar.

I had an unforgettable conversation with Keith Lawrence about the Battle of Britain and his time with 234 Squadron. In fact I ended up his side of the table at a book signing.

As to those I would like to meet the list is probably endless. Just reading Geoffrey ‘boy’ Wellum’s book First Light and he is a character I would love to have a chat with. There are two other people I would have liked to have met but never had the opportunity. Sgt John Mears ASC, my paternal Grandfather and Sgt Alexander McGee Cormack, an air-bomber with 61 Sqdn who was killed on one of his first operations.

    Andy.

Very nice. What scale are they? And why swap the Frontier A319? It’s a cracking model in a fantastic livery.

Beautiful scheme, and taken at BHX as well. (From the steps by the old terminal, I think.) Should look great in the sun, so probably not at BHX 🙁
