The damage that we can see in the photograph shown certainly looks substantial. Interesting that there are no pictures of the damage said to have been inflicted in the fuselage and wings. This is a newsworthy event but the press have to decide who they believe to be right. You have passengers on that aircraft who will have been terrified and others who probably found the whole experience exhilarating. The truth probably lies somewhere in between. As tp your fair and appropriate manner there appear to have been a number of eyewitness accounts telling of passengers being hurled about. Perhaps it was the right decision to continue through the storm rather than having to descend through it in such adverse conditions.

Have to agree with mmitch. That last one is a great picture. Really moody. Mongu’s right about the airliners.net pictures. Most are taken by professional photographers using professional equipment. I like to see other people’s efforts. So well done. The first would have been a cracker as well were it not for the unfortunate placing of a lamp post. Damned inconsiderate these councils.

Everything seems ok now but I have developed an interesting side effect. Whichever keyboard I now plug into the PC has this new problem. The inverted comma key, when depressed, produces the ‘at’ symbol and vece versa. When I try to use the pound symbol I get this ‘#’ and when I press the # key I get a back slash. Strange eh? I can live with those though, I think?

Moggy.

All this is way beyond me. I can’t follow people’s instructions. Things like this I seem to have a huge mental block with. The easiest way i have found to come in under the forum limit is to use ‘Paint’ and set picture size to 7″ x 5″.
