RE: Your fav. lyrics?
Dave.
“If youre a 30 something or a 40 something then the lyrics to Carol Kings “Going back” are quite poignant”
Don’t remember that one Dave. Can you hum it for us please?

RE: Do you build kits? Stick em up
Me too!
I build whatever I fancy, I don’t stick to any rigid criteria. Currently “in production” are a Lancaster in the markings of a 61 Sqdn aircraft lost in September 1942 and an Me 323 Gigant. For me, the end result is far less important than the pleasure I get from building these kits. I started again a few years ago and now it acts as physiotherapy for my hands, to try to keep the fine motor movement going.
My advice to anyone is to just enjoy it. My standard would probably not even get me into the junior class at a model show, but the hobby is no less enjoyable for that.

RE: GeForce
Vortex.
“Now, I see why the western world have such a high divorce rate….no understanding of commitments, perserverance, and responsibility.”
Is the divorce rate any less in the USA? The country where you can buy a marriage license and be wed by Elvis? Where people go to certain cities to be granted a quick divorce? As America tries to show itself off to the world as a leader it’s hardly the best example is it?
“Let’s screw over somebody…we can always go back…”
Ahh yes. As in let’s support Saddam Hussein, until it no longer suits us, or how about the Iraqi Kurds? Perhaps no-one will notice our lack of committment, perseverance and responsibility…

RE: Forum upgrade
I suppose it had to come eventually. Can the webmaster give us any clue as to:
1 What will the new format be?
2 Will it remain user friendly or are we likely to encounter the same problems as last time?
3 Will the archive still be accessible as certain threads are worth saving?
4 Will any new features, or even new forums be incorporated into the change?
5 I understand you can only offer a guesstimate, but do you have any idea how long the forum will be offline?
I think that’ll do for now.

RE: It was 60 years ago today – Valentines day 1943.
What can one say? Other than congratulations!!! A fantastic piece of research well presented. And above all, a fitting tribute to Johnny Wiseman and Alan Haddon. I think they would be justifiably pleased and proud that their efforts, and their sacrifice, is remembered some sixty years on.

RE: Increased security at London Heathrow.
Keltic,
they’re speculating about a potential missile attack on aircraft in or out of LHR, they must, in light of September 11th, be seen to be doing something, rather than responding after the event. I hope this is just posturing, a flexing of the political will, but we have to accept it might not be. I don’t see what good the tanks would do unless it is just to act as a physical deterrent or to reassure the population. I hope nothing comes of this, for everyone’s sake. The world is a volatile enough place already.

RE: Increased security at London Heathrow.
There’s a post on AFM talking about whether or not the rumours of RAF aircraft operating over London are true or not. Perhaps this is a bit more serious than we think?
Wys.
This interference you have been getting. Could it be someone using radar to track aircraft into London with a view to attacking them?

RE: Flight report???????
Dave,
welcome back.
We don’t want to hear you banging on about what the flight was like, the service, the trim etc., etc. We don’t want to see your holiday snaps of this aircraft or that aircraft basking in the warm Mediterranean sun….
Do we?
Of course we do. Look forward to seeing it.:-)
BTW, Hope you enjoyed your break.
