Actually, I believe the image was capped from a video showing a ‘blue force’ exercise in China.

Don’t forget the Davy Crockett too, the US nuclear tipped RPG, or recoiless rifle, or something of that ilk.

Well, Vympel/Vortex claimed there were, and seeing as how they’re pretty senior members, I would believe them. Perhaps leaked inadvertently.

To borrow a line from Aliens, maybe the USN pilots resorted to using harsh language.:)

someone posted here a few motnhs back (might’ve been Vortex or Vympel) that the Israelis cheated in the exercise, but the subject became touchy and was dropped because the original poster couldn’t find the article to back it up.

I’m not saying the USAF is unbeatable either- I just think that any kill ratios done in an exercise with over 1:1 need to be examined closely.

Yes, but….. If 40 USN planes went up against 1 IAF plane, all the USN planes are going be shot down? That’s bordering on improbable and absurd- the IAF plane would probably run out of bullets before that happens.

I have no doubts about the IAF’s competence, but 40:0 is a bit out there.

No offense to any of the pilots involved, but from this sentence, it seems like the IAF outnumbered the USAF planes. On Wednesday morning, as four USAF 15C took to the skies… Forty minutes later, Gwalior was ‘‘bombed’’ by an IAF MiG-27 escorted by a fleet of SU-30Ks and Mirage-2000s.

A fleet sounds like more than 4.

Yes, but 4:1 and the extremely high Israeli claim (was it 12:1?) really sound unlikely.
