    Reeeeally flimsy pylon.

Or a really strong pylon. The lighting looks off, seems fake to me.

Thanks Glenn. The Russians have been developing their RPK complex of anti-torpedo rockets for quite some time now. I really wonder about its effectiveness.

More than likely given the strong opening weekend for AVP. Even if it tails off in the US (should be around $12 million this weekend) it’ll still do well overseas. If it makes in the area of $140 million total, I’d say another Alien or Predator movie is a good bet, since the budget for this one was $60 million. If you can make a movie and make a decent return (and not earn less than you spent making it), then sequels usually do happen.

Don’t forget DVD and video rentals too! Hellboy only made in its domestic budget here in the states, and they’re already planning a sequel.

Speaking of which, there are already rumors of an AvP sequel in the works.

Is the P-40 to be included?

If not then I certainly won’t be getting the game.

I think it might be- I believe I saw a Wildcat, so if that’s in there, I’ll bet the P-40 is too.

It always amazes me how large a diameter SSBNs have to be to accomodate these massive SLBMs. 🙂

    JANE’S MISSILES AND ROCKETS – APRIL 01, 2004

    ——————————————————————————–

    Python 6 proposed as follow-on air-to-air missile
    David C Isby

Israel is considering follow-on air-to-air missile (AAM) designs for use against emerging threats, writes David C Isby. Python 6 has been proposed as the next member of the Rafael family of air-to-air missiles.

Created in response to an Israeli Defence Force requirement for a future AAM that could arm aircraft such as the Lockheed Martin F-35 Joint Strike Fighter or unmanned air vehicles (UAVs), Python 6 is believed to be a design based on a dual-mode active radar and passive infrared seeker.

Smaller and lighter than the current Python 5 infrared-guided dogfight missile, it would incorporate state-of-the-art technology, and be available for operational use around 2014. Like Python 5 and the radar-guided Derby, it would be suitable for the air-to-air and surface-to-air roles (see story Israel offers Spyder SAM system to India on page xx of this issue).

I think one of the JASSM roles is going after S300/400 batteries.
They will likely be fired from F117/F22 type internal bay a/c.

I wonder if the Tor-M1 can intercept the JASSM?

So according to the study, 60% of all Brits think it’s perfectly fine to have had at least 10 sexual partners before the age of 30.

For what it’s worth, a little while back I asked a CPMIEC official about the YJ-83 and their supersonic missile developments in general.

I got an exasperated denial that a YJ-83 existed – not evasion (knowing, or otherwise). I showed the CCTV image of the row of missiles all marked ‘YJ-83’ and was told, “yes I have seen this picture too. You must understand that sometimes things are not as they seem. There is no such thing as YJ-83.”

Fair enough, I said, and moved on to something else.

What? You didn’t grab him by the pants leg and shake him upside down? 🙂
Seriously, where did you get to meet a CPMIEC official- at an airshow?

I don’t think they CAN hate us any more 😀

Eh, I think it’s possible. But I don’t want to find out either. I think their young, nationalistic students don’t like their mullahs very much, but I wouldn’t want to give them the opportunity to vent their rage at the US too.
