How is this different from the president calling for invasion against a country, and in the next breath saying, ‘God bless America.’? This is arrogant, assuming that God will bless America and America only. Who is man, to request such blessings?

While I have no doubt your words are sincere, ‘Seriously, I would risk my own life to save the live of a terrorist’s child’, I think that you might not say the same in all circumstances, e.g. not behind a computer at work somewhere.

While the mullahs and clerics have no doubt perverted their own religion, we need to consider their point of view. What would you be saying if Iraq came over to the US and deposed President Bush and killed 13,000 civilians in the name of collateral damage and democracy?

Well exactly, Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 or Al-Qaeda, but we chose to attack them anyway. And paying families of dead Hizbollah terrorists hardly amounts to justification for invasion.

Anyhow, I think I’d have to agree with Keltic’s comments on this. Probably, the Spanish are confused about what to do next.

First of all, how do you know whether they will certainly attack Spain?

Secondly, how do you know who ‘them’ is? Or does one just make up a country, attempt to associate it with Al-Qaeda, and attack them a la Iraq? Perhaps Spain should attack Morocco.

Thirdly, one or two spelling/typing mistakes don’t bother me, but when your post is fraught with them, it detracts from your credibility (and is just plain annoying to read)- so please correct them! 🙂

Correct, the deployment will not be finalized until late August.

Some have said the Europe’s Al Qaeda elements are from disaffected terrorists in North Africa.

Spain withdrew most of its troops from Iraq and doubled its force in Afghanistan, (the place where the real terrorists are), so any statements about the Spanish being a weak loser are unfounded.

/nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition.
