What kind of budget does the VNAF have allotted for fighter purchases?
Well, the LCA isn’t expected to enter Indian service until 2009. That means a few more years until it can be exported- what is Vietnam going to go for in the meantime? The Mig-29 seems like the cheapest bang for the buck.
LCA will take too long to reach the export market, so Vietnam will probably have to go witht he Mig-29s.
