Either way, a company or organisation is paying a considerable sum of money to have something displayed to the public, so they put some discrete branding on it. I don’t understand why some of you find the concept so hard to grasp, it really isn’t that complicated!

Perhaps you’d prefer the Red Bull style of branding? Or the NAA/Rockwell/Evergreen style markings as applied to Bob Hoover’s yellow Mustang?

There are a couple of ZK- marks which are up to their fifth or even seventh aircraft.

ZK-VNM being one example – every time they crash one they fetch another Venom and stick the same registration on it. I think they’re currently on number three. 🙁

Seriously? Have you actually been to Le Bourget? Now contrast that with a government that funds a heritage flight of multiple types of aircraft that attends hundreds of events a year, pays for multiple national aviation collections, and gives grants to numerous private museums.

If it’s the guy I’m thinking of, I saw him in the FoD enclosure yesterday. He is at pretty much all of the Duxford shows, and has become known as ‘The Town Crier’ as he has a very loud voice and never shuts up!
