    I wonder how many were actually printed? All water under the bridge now, but it is a real shame that it wasn’t published and distributed in such a way that would have allowed it to be widely available in volume in an affordable format for a prolonged period.

    Is there a problem stopping and restarting the engine?

    Classic Wings do seem to have a rather unfortunate habit of setting their Rapides on fire.

    I was always surprised that they did not hold a Harvard on station for fighter training

    They used to make use of one at Boscombe I believe.

    ISTR (from a forum visit to Coningsby a decade or so back) that the second seat folds away to allow the bomb aimer access to the nose compartment.

    Presumably crew currency flights will be required before public displays can be undertaken, as it has now been out of action for the best part of 5 months?

    Both Tempests are still in the UK, with the same owner. There are two other examples in Texas, both currently undergoing restoration.

    IWM are not a sponsor they were gifted it. All the other organisations are proactively and financially supportive. Aon, RR, Bremont etc.

    So you don’t think that IWM are paying the (not insubstantial) operating costs?
