There was no market for them 30 years ago, I can’t see anyone being interested in restarting production again now. The ad is dated 2012, so I think it’s fair to assume that interest was limited…
I would approach National Geographic, it is right up their street, ie strong geographical context, environmental issues, and a compelling human interest aspect.
A little research shows that NG do not accept unsolicited submissions.
The exact text reads “Given the uncertain political situation in Egypt however there is a possibility that Kittyhawk may never be returned to the United Kingdom.”
