West Raynham is allegedly Haunted with some solid accounts.

    Areas of interest :
    the old ATC tower
    the Officer’s Mess.
    the sick quarters

but to have it investigated by this bunch of jokers is just taking the wee wee – and gets those of us who take the topic seriously enough to scientifically study it tarred with the same lunatic fringe brush.

have you noticed the there is a script editor in the credits….hmmmmm ?

I wouldn’t let this lot mow my lawn let alone investigate somewhere allegedly haunted.

Not getting into the did he/didnt he here but the implications of the accounts worry me.

seems to me the fall out from this is going to have the same result as the Beverly Allott and Harold Shipman cases, an overtightening of already tight laws to the detriment of almost everyone…

Ok I am fervently against abusers of all kinds, but bringing further restrictions in just makes everyone shy away from helping others – can’t be bothered with the red tape or jumping through the 2000 hoops to pass muster….

what an odd world we humans have made for ourselves

Airfield owners Elvington Park Ltd, Elvington Events Ltd, which hold a licence to organise activites on the airfield, and the company secretary and sole director of both companies, John Christopher Hudson, claimed the noise from motor races was not a nuisance and said that, even if it was, they were not responsible because the races were organised by Auto 66 and planning permission allowed them to hold motor sports on the airifield.

a shame as I like bike racing and aircraft at airfields, but undue noise (and unwanted BBQs or people smoking nearby) can make others lives an absolute misery especially on hot days when the windows have to be closed to preserve sanity…but usually compromises can be reached by intelligent reasonable people

however, this sounds like an I don’t give a damn attitude from the Elvington Park companies….and a long running battle with the council over their actions…so any complaint about them is going to be pounced upon in the court….someone in the council’s been upset perhaps and is out for blood ?

    just to put my tuppence

I agree whole heartedly with what Tom wrote a couple of posts back – any way to encourage and instill a knowledge of the past in the youth of today is good

have visited the NAM and thoroughly enjoyed my all to brief time spent there, it was good to see varying exhibits and not just aircraft….bringing a sense of former RAF Winthorpe into the present

and I really don’t care (and that’s the polite version) if I am called visitor or customer or any other term…PC gone bloody mad…..

    anyway cheers guys

Just back from a week down at Maters house near Dover – was lovely riding down on Monday – just like summer

back earlier today not so nice with the wind getting up…

however you can indeed tell that it is summer with the amount of roadworks….:)

the A1 from Leeming to Dishforth is 50mph (groan) as is the M25 from the M11 to almost the Dartford crossing (Groan, Groan)

and as for County Durham – it’s all roadworks
