No idea. It’s not my slide, I just found it on that site, which I regularly browse trough.

as the aircraft is apparently goung out of servie in ayear or two when the last Gripens are delivered.
It was already taken out of service this year with only 2 Gripens delivered.
Really nice shot of a Dutch KDC-10 from airliners.net: http://www.airliners.net/photo/Netherlands—Air/McDonnell-Douglas-KDC-10-30CF/1425005/L/
That’s neither a small nor rare air force

i have now contact (thanks to this forum)with Yefim Gordon and some other
important writers.
Since you’re in contact with Y. Gordon you might also let him know that the “Chinese” MiG-29 in his book is an awful PS job, and the story about China testing a Romanian Fulcrum is bogus 😉
JF-17 is a fighter / multirole
AMX is a ground attack / CAS aircraft with self-defence capability
Gabon has received 2 in 2006, but is reported to have ordered at least 6, possibly 8 or 12. Anyone seen any further information?
I’ve heard they ordered 8. What is certain is that 2 were delivered in Aug 2006 (reg. TR-KML and TR-KMM) and another 2 in Nov 2007 (TR-KMN and KMO)
Looks more like Libyan than overpainted 😀
See also the black serial remnants just below the green flag.
AFAIK Sudanese Floggers came from Libya
Or try to set up a decent small-country air force on a shoe-string budget with Typhoon (Ask Austria and Hungary how things are going :diablo:).
L
Why should we ask Hungary about the Typhoon?
They operate Gripens 😉
Mods, can somebody edit this guy’s posts?
They are nothing but spam.
The Iranian F-16 is just a painting, it never existed.
The Mirage you posted is French – see the code on the nose.
Is that a bis or MF? I would go for MF
It’a MiG-21 RF, special version built for Egypt only. It is basically an MF with the gun replaced by cameras and same wingtip jammers like the MiG-21R.
Its advantage compared to the R is that it can take a fuel tank on the centerline station, which is taken up by the recon pod on the R version.
Anyone have pictures of SA-365C Dauphin Is from Sri Lanka or Hong Kong Goverment Flying Service or of the SA-365N Dauphin IIs from Romania?
Romanian SRI (intelligence service) Dauphins.
They are ued exclusively for the VIP / VVIP transport role.

As you go trough the threads linked above, please note that only the Dauphins serialled 201-204 belong to the state, the others registered YR-*** are private owned.
What are you saying man?!
Why would you think the Flanker production line would close anytime soon?!
Can you read?
He was wondering about after sale support, which has always been crappy for Russian products, and has got nothing to do with the production line.
there is another thread in this forum with a picture of a lybian mig-25RB with AAM
You mean this one?:
http://forum.keypublishing.co.uk/showpost.php?p=1300450&postcount=12
That’s a PD (=interceptor with radar). Since you can’t tell the versions apart I’m starting to doubt you ever got close to one, let alone fly it.
on borad the 8th recc/interceptor squadron that i flew with had 25/PD/RB
THE PD in iterceptor/attack role
the RB in recc/iterceptor role
there were experiments conducted by the ministry of defence/ when hussien kamel was in power….on the RB to incoperate french AAM/RADAR INTO the RB as they did with the mig-21…with limited success
thank you
Using the PD in attack role and RB in interceptor? WTF?
That’s a wild claim, as far as I know nobody ever claimed something like this before, so you need to give a few more details.
Just how did they fit the radar in the metallic nose of the RB?
What particular type of AAM and radar was that?
What do you mean by limited succes?
How many RBs were modified that way?
What is the rationale of converting a precius recce asset into an interceptor, when you had plenty of interceptors and could have bought more from the Soviet Union?
When did you chase those Jordanian F-16 ? What year?
