Would Jet2 ever try a LBA-SNN route or would RYR just launch the exact same route in spite of them? I think there might be demand for a 3xweekly flight. Any opinions?

Out of curiosity, does anyone know how the Bahrain route is performing in terms of loads, yield e.t.c?

I doubt we’ll see Baltimore reintroduced, apparently the loads weren’t great at all for a finish. Would there be any chance of a South African route or would there be a demand for this sort of service?

I can see the SNN route being a mjor success, it’s only 3-weekly after all and Spain is a hugely popular destination for Irish city-breakers.

Hmmmm….I wonder how long it will be until RYR react and launch a LPL-MLA route of their own??!!! :dev2:

ya it’s a pity allright, Gulf Air are, in my opinion, one of the most interesting operators serving Ireland at the moment given that they’re the only airline, bar EI, serving the middle east. And while the sight of Aer Lingus’ A330s are always impressive, it’s nice to see foreign medium/long haul operators taking an interest in the Irish market and not simply offering Irish passengers connections via Heathrow!!!! 🙂 I know BHX would have alot of these but you could still be able to see the American ‘heavies’ at DUB such as the B767S of Delta, American Airlines and Air Canada, the B757s of continental plusn the previously mentioned A330s of EI! 🙂

Rumours are circulating that cityjet are to start a 5-daily flight to AMS on a codeshare with KLM (Like they do with AF on the CDG route) with their New Avro RJ85s. I know that Cityjet, being a full-service carrier, will not be that cheap but at least they might take the business travellers from Aer Lingus and provoke them to reduce their fares????

I must state that Ireland is amazingly underserved to AMS when you consider that nearly every airport in the UK has at least one LCC serving AMS. I hope someone like Transavia/Air Berlin could rectify this! 😉 😉
